Obituary: Constance Connie Willan, 73, of Lafayette, passed away on 8, 2015, at 5:52 p.m. surrounded by her loving family in Frankfort. She had been in failing health for the past several months.

She was born 15, 1942, in Clinton, the daughter of James Arthur and Helen Louise (Keerns) Hay. She married Thomas Marion on May 5, 1961 in Terre Haute and he preceded her in death on 8, 1983. Connie and Lenny were married on 4, 1987 in Terre Haute.

Connie spent the majority of her life in Terre Haute. She was a 1960 graduate of Gerstmeyer High School and attended Indiana State. She had been employed by Midland Glass, CBS Records (she made 8-track tapes) and retired from Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in 1998. She loved to dance, play cards, and travel. retirement, she enjoyed wintering in Texas. For the past twelve years, she resided in Lafayette. Those who knew her will remember her as a good, loving friend, sister, mother, and grandma with a wonderful laugh. She loved every minute spent with her family whom will miss her tremendously.

She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Military Retires Association, Kerman Grotto, Daughters of Mokanna, Eastern Star, and Daughters of the Nile.

Leonard Lenny Willan, passed away on May 9, 2010. He was born 3, 1931 in Seelyville, Indiana, to William C. and Margaret E. (Blubaugh) Willan.

He proudly served his county by enlisting in the U.S. Army in Terre Haute on 3, 1948. He served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars and had been stationed in Germany, Japan, France, England, Australia, and the Philippines. On 31, 1969, he retired as Master Sergeant E8 at Ft. Myers, Virginia. He received the Purple Heart for wounds received in action during the Korean War. Lenny also earned the Bronze Star for Valor, Army Commendation Medal, Army of Occupational Medal Japan, Combat Infantryman Badge, United Nations Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Metal, Expert Marksman Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, and National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of the American Military Retires Association, Inc., The Retired Enlisted Association, Disabled American Veterans (lifetime member), founding sponsor of the National Museum for the United States Army, Veterans of Foreign Wars (lifetime member), Post 972, and the American Legion, Post 492 (lifetime member). Lenny was also a proud member of the Ft. Knox F&AM Lodge 919, Radcliff, Kentucky, the Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute, Zorah Shrine, Kermon Grotto, Elks 1402, McAllen, Texas, and the Eagles.

Survivors include son, Steven Marion; daughters, Tonya Marion and Tami (Dennis) Pelling; grandchildren, Jeremy Marion, Victoria Judy, Stephanie Judy, Thomas Pelling, Kelsey Pelling and Taylor Marion; two great-grandchildren; Connies sister, Rosemary (Bob) Davidson; nephews and nieces.

In addition to their parents, they were preceded in death by Lennys brothers, William and Charles Willan and his sister, Audrey Dotty Nieft.

Visitation will be from 2 to 2:30 p.m. on , 11 at Roselawn . services for both Connie and Lenny will take place at 2:30, at the funeral home, with Pastor Larry Lilly officiating. Connie and Lenny will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park with military rites performed by VFW Post 972. LAFAYETTE - Constance Connie Willan, 73, of Lafayette, passed away 8, 2015, at 5:52 p.m. surrounded by her loving family in Frankfort. She had been in failing health for the past several months.
