Obituary: Dorothy Mae Wenger, 91, died at 7 p.m. 27, at Millers Assisted Living, Wakarusa. She was born to Grover and Mabel (Shearer) Schalliol on 7, 1924. She married Robert LaMar Wenger on 22, 1945. celebrated 70 years of marriage in 2015. She was a graduate of Madison High School in 1942. She was housewife and mother except for a short time when she worked for Space Age, Kellys Kitchens and Dwyer Insturments. She is survived by her husband, Robert, daughter, Becky (Randy) Yeiter, Carmel, son, Bruce (Sherry Yoder), Wakarusa, daughter, Nancy (Tom) VanTilburg, Jeffersonville, daughter, Barbara (Steve) Stump, Wakarusa, and a daughter-in-law, Mardelle (Hostetler) Wenger, Fort Wayne, sister, Norma Maurer, Elkhart and a niece. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Robin Wenger and Randi Gonzales, Fort Wayne, Matt (Susan) Yeiter, Mark (Debbie) Yeiter and Tina (Ryan) Clepper, all of Indianapolis, Daniel (Janel) Yeiter, Avon, Rachel Wenger, Wakarusa, Nic VanTilburg, Jeffersonville, Peter (Jessica) VanTilburg, Louisville, Kentucky, Sam (Kara) Stump, Wakarusa, Libby (Matt) Abberger, Statesville, NC and Joanna (Alex) Williams, Greenville, SC. She has 22 great-grandchildren with one due on 9/15. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Brian and twin-great-grandsons, Adrian Drew and Trevor James Stump. Dorothy loved to quilt, sold many wall hangings and quilts and enjoyed quilting at Millers Assisted Living. She was the church librarian, was AWANA secretary at Bible Baptist Church for many years, was a longtime nursery School teacher and also helped with funeral dinners. She loved to garden, can and freeze her produce and loved flower gardening, especially African Violets. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. , 4, 2015 and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. service on , 5, 2015 all at Bible Baptist Church, 205 E. Waterford St., Wakarusa. Pastor David Harper of the Bible Baptist Church will officiate and burial will be in Olive (West) . Memorial contributions may be directed to the Bible Baptist Church or the for Hospice . He married Wilma (Holderbaum) Wenger on Oct. 28, 1950. Surviving are his wife, Wilma, Goshen, daughter, Julie (Michael) Troyer, Bowling Green, Ken., son, Jeffrey Wenger, Wakarusa, siblings, Helen Alexander, Banning, Calif., Vada Blosser, Wakarusa, Doris (John) Nunemaker, Goshen, David (Marlene) Wenger, Elkhart, Kenneth (Pat) Wenger, Osceola, Phyllis (Larry) Stauffer, Wakarusa, Larry (Terry) Wenger, Surprise, Ariz., brother-in-law, Merrill Yoder, Wakarusa, sister-in-law, Carolyn Reum, Granger, grandchildren, Christopher (Andrea) Troyer, Goldsboro, NC, Brian (Claire) Troyer, Whitefish Bay, Wisc., great-grandchildren, Alexander & Anna Troyer and Charles & Henry Troyer. Preceding him in death are his parents, siblings, Fay Yoder, Myrtle (Orville) Kehr, Leota (Alvin) Yoder, Lester Wenger and brothers-in-law, Joe Alexander and Raymond Blosser. Chuck worked as a farmer, at Ebys Dairy and Portage Realty. He retired from the RV Industry in 1994 and was an auctioneer since 1985. He also worked as a Wa-Nee school bus aide, a taxi driver for transporting people and hauling produce. Chuck was a member of the Yellow Creek Mennonite Church and was a wonderful husband and always a gentleman. He also served for two years in 1-W service in Gary, Indiana at the Methodist Hospital and enjoyed hunting, fishing, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. , 13, 2014 at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart , 117 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. service , 14, 2014 at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church, 64901 CR 11, Goshen. Pastor Wes Bontreger & Pastor Harold Yoder will officiate.
