Obituary: Charlie S. Weaver, 77, of Evansville, passed away , 18, 2009, at Naples Community Hospital, in Naples, FL, near his winter home on Marco Island, from a long time battle with metastatic cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents the late Charles and Dorothy Weaver, of Evansville, Indiana and his sister, Phillis Smale, of Cincinnati, OH. Mr. Weaver graduated from Stanton Military Academy and Indiana University. Mr. Weaver also served in the United States Army and is a life-time member of the American Legion. Charlie was elected to the board of directors for Evansville, Indiana Dress Regional airport, under the appointment of his close friend, the late Mayor Russell Lloyd, from 1974-1982, helping to create what is now Evansvilles new airport terminal. He was also a member of the Evansville Country Club, and Evansville Kennel Club. Charlie retired as president of his family owned business, Peerless Pottery Incorporated, in the year 2000, in honor of five generations of operation. He also received a distinguished award in 2002 for owning and operating a family corporation for 100 years. As a child Mr. Weaver helped run his family farm known as Weaver Orchard, which is now known as Engelbrecht Orchard. He had a great love for gardening, boating, fishing, golfing, and spending as much time as possible on his favorite beach on Marco Island, Florida. Surviving are his wife and soul mate of 49 years, Donna Weaver and beloved pet, Misty aby girl. Sister, Nancy Viola and her husband, Victor. Children: Tony Weaver and long time companion Janna Small, Stanley Weaver, and Dawn Weaver. Grandchildren: Austin Goodwin, Alysha Holmes, Scott Weaver, Christopher Weaver, Tabatha Weaver, and Chad Weaver. Great Grandchildren: Justin and Christian Luck and Matthew and Alexis Weaver. Services will be 1:00 PM , 30, 2009, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Rev. Ernest Stair, with burial at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and from 12-Noon until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorial contributions be made to the National Institute of , MEN 1 program or to your local cancer research facility for children. |

Obituary: Betty L. Weaver, 87, Goshen, died 8:15 a.m. , Nov. 3, 2015, at her residence on her mothers birthday. She had been in failing health for the past year and a half. She was born Nov. 7, 1927 in Nappanee to Charles & Hattie (Stull) Myers. She married Donald Leroy Weaver on 15, 1946 and he died Jan. 31, 2000. Surviving are a daughter, Brenda (Kenny) Juday, Goshen, sons, Jerry (Sally) Weaver, Middlebury and Michael (Bonnie) Weaver, Goshen, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, son, Dennis Weaver, 4 sisters and 6 brothers. Betty worked at Goshen Rubber as a materials handler and attended Crossroads Community Church, Goshen. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-1 p.m. with the service following at 1 p.m. , Nov. 7, 2015 all at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret , 311 S. Main St., Goshen. She was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church and volunteered for the church council. She cherished her time with her family and friends and loved her dog Skeeter. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing on a ladies softball league, roller skating, ice skating and bowling.
