Obituary: Delores N. Wilkinson (affectionately known as Dee), 84 of Washington, formerly Peoria, passed away and went on to be with Our Lord Jesus on 4th, 2014, at home with her family surrounding her. Dee was born Jan. 7th, 1929 in Maynard, IA to Wyatt and Letha Shippy- Rathbun. Her father died and Letha Married William J. Tull. The family moved to Peoria, IL where Dee married Wilfred Barrie on May 25th, 1946. He died on Nov. 10th, 1953. Dee remarried Floyd G. Wilkinson on 2, 1955. He died May 5th, 1992. Delores leaves to cherish her precious memories, one son Mark W. Barrie of Brimfield, IL; two daughters: Sherrie N. Edwards of Edwards, IL and Laurie J. Wilkinson of Washington; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one sister Joyce Board, and her youngest child Brenda Wilkinson. Delores was a homemaker most of her adult life. She loved the great outdoors, spending time with family, camping and fishing, as well as enjoyed traveling. Loving her family unconditionally, she is remembered as a compassionate mother and friend. Dee was of the Christian faith. Mom (mama) will forever be planted in our hearts and souls as she sings in the heavens above. services will be on 9, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapels in Peoria. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Parkview in Peoria. Obituary: ROCK FALLS – Clarence M. Wilkinson, 79 died 26, 2021 under the care of hospice at his home. He was born 23, 1941 in Melbourne, Missouri, the son of Lloyd and Ardith (Chambers) Wilkinson. Clarence was a 1959 graduate of Rock Falls High School and married Damaris Baylis on 19, 1963. He worked at Northwestern Steel and Wire Co for 33 years before retiring. He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Damaris; daughter Sonya (Buddy) Schilpp of Rock Falls; sons: Craig of Rock Falls, Eric of Harmon, Bruce (Peggy) of Rock Falls; grandson Dakota; great grandson Brantley both of Rock Falls; sister, Caroline Johnson of Spokane, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Ellen Smith; and his brothers: Donald and Harol Wilkinson. A gathering of friends and family will take place on 30, 2021 from 12:30 – 1:30 PM at the McDonald & Crematory 1002 12th Avenue in Rock Falls followed by the memorial service at 1:30 PM with the Reverend Richard Russo officiating. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital in care of the funeral home. |
