Obituary: Ura Wiggers, 84, of Springfield passed away on 4, 2014 at Sunny Acres in Petersburg. She was born on May 22, 1929 in Springfield to Delbert H. and Wilma Musick Cooley. Ura married John Wainwright in 1949 and he preceded her in death in 1965. She then married Fred S. Wiggers in 1967 and he preceded her in death in 1996. She is survived by her son Roger Wainwright of Chatham, her daughter Lois Pruitt of Springfield, four grandchildren: Cori (James) Porter, Scott (Bridgett) Pruitt, Megan Pruitt, and Ashlee Wainwright, and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her infant sister Norma Jean Cooley. Ura worked for the Illinois Department of Transportation and retired in 1984 after thirty years of service. She was a member of the Springfield Chapter of the Sweet Adelines since 1965, a twenty five year member of the Flower City Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir since 1943. She enjoyed traveling overseas, going on cruises, and hosting parties and events with family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on 7, 2014 at Bisch West, 2931 Koke Mill Road. The family will meet friends from 10:00am until the time of service at the funeral home . A private burial of ashes will take place at a later date at Brittin near Cantrall. Obituary: Springfield, IL Patricia Eileen "Pat" Wiggers, 75, of Springfield, passed away at 11:35 am 29, 2010 at St. Johns Hospice with her family by her side. Patricia was born 16, 1935 at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL to Warren T. and Mary Alice Gibson French. Her parents and a brother, John T. French preceded her in death. She attended elementary schools in Indiana and eastern Illinois. She graduated from Tuscola High School in 1953. She then graduated from Decatur-Macon Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL in 1956 where she earned her degree in . As a registered nurse, she was employed by Illinois State School, Lincoln, IL. She continued her nursing profession with Springfield Clinic, Memorial Hospital, Dr. William White, and Doctors Hospital in the Springfield Area until her retirement. Pat was a longtime devoted member of the Northside United Methodist Church in Springfield. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, and worked countless hours in service for the church. She was a great cook, and you could always find her in the kitchen of the church preparing meals for many events. Pat was also an avid reader, an accomplished seamstress and loved to knit. She would make blankets and back packs for mission outreach projects through the church. She married Milton Wiggers in Springfield 8, 1957 and he survives. Also surviving are her children; Mark (wife Patty) Wiggers of Springfield, Doug (wife Carol) Wiggers of Mahomet, IL, and Deborah (husband T. Richard "Rick") Bilyeu of Springfield, her five grandchildren; Maria Bilyeu, Thomas Bilyeu III, Elizabeth Ann Wiggers, Matthew Bilyeu, and Timothy Wiggers, a great grandson; Tyree White and her sister; Barbara French of Yeaddiss, KY. are under the direction of Bisch West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd. Springfield IL where visitation will be on 1, 2010 from 4-7 pm. Additional visitation will be on 2, 2010 at the Northside United Methodist Church 2400 N. Grand Ave. E. Springfield, IL from 10:00 am until time of funeral services there at 11:00 am with Revs. Rita Nafziger and Kathy Lasson officiating. Graveside services will be at the Hartsburg Union , Hartsburg, IL at 2 pm . Those that wish may direct memorial contributions to St. Johns Hospice or the Northside United Methodist Church. Obituary: Charles G. Van Wiggeren, 90, of Lincolnshire, IL, passed away on 4, 2016 after courageously battling a lengthy illness. He was born to Richard Charles Van Wiggeren and Esidora Henry Van Wiggeren on 13, 1926 in Ilion, New York. graduating from Ilion High School at age 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in the Pacific during WWII. In 1947, he married Gertrude Trudy Moore, his high school sweetheart, and attended Alfred University where he received a BS degree in Ceramic Engineering. He had a 40-year career in the abrasives industry, working in Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, California, Illinois, Michigan and Massachusetts. Charles was also an instrument rated private pilot and an accomplished sailor. He was an elder in several Presbyterian churches and was most recently a member of the Village Church of Lincolnshire, IL. With his loving and caring wife of more than 68 years, Trudy, they had three children, Douglas (Sandy) Van Wiggeren, Gail (Stephen) Steining and Judy (Scott) Carney; 7 Grandchildren and13 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by, granddaughter, Christina Carney Lord, great granddaughter, Mary Kathryn VanWiggeren, a brother, Richard, and sisters Martha Corni and Elizabeth Raleigh. Obituary: Kimi Lue, nee Moxley, Wiggand, 61, born 27, 1955 in Weatherford, Oklahoma, passed away after her short battle with Leukemia on , 7, 2016 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri. Kimi was a processor for Rural Housing Loans for the USDA-RD for over twenty years and was a secretary for A.F.G.E. Local Union 3504 for over 10 years and a member of the Executive Board for many years. She was a member of Christian Family Church, Belleville, Illinois. She was also active with G.W.R.R.A. (Gold Wing Motorcycle Club). Larrie and Kimi were the district M.A.D. Coordinators, as well as being selected as their local chapters Couple of the Year. were also Medic First Aid /CPR instructors for the club. Kimi enjoyed traveling; she traveled to 49 states, three Canadian Providences, four major cross country train trips, as well as Mexico. One of her favorite places in her travels was Bryce Canyon, Utah. Following in her mothers footsteps she enjoyed many of her same talents, being a professional florist and cake decorator. She was also co-owner of Buttons and More, which was a craft making business and consultant for to Décor. Every year Kimi would volunteer with Heartland SEP (a Christian Youth Camp) where she taught many types of craft lessons. Kimi was also a volunteer for Mission Trips to Mexico with the Crossing Borders Group. Some of her adventures included; hang gliding in the Smoky Mountains and extreme white water rafting in West Virginia as well as hiking thru Yellowstone National Park and much much more. Kimi enjoyed life to the fullest. Kimi was preceded in death by her twin daughters, Amy and Michelle Ehlen; a granddaughter, Abigail Bortko and her parents, Charlie and Margie, nee Gilchrist, Moxley . Surviving is her loving and devoted husband, Larrie Gene Wiggand; daughters, Amanda (Amy Miles) Langendorf, Crystal Ehlen, Heather Morrow and Nyiah Wiggand; grandchildren, Corrina (Josh) Price, Carson Morrow, Caleb Hernandez and Zoe Bortko; a great grandchild David Price; siblings, Kelly (Bonnie) Moxley, Kitra (Steve) Ruiz, Kara Moxley and Kregg (Rachel) Moxley, also, survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
