Obituary: Mrs. Hortense Dee Worley was called to her Father's on 11, 2013. Memorial services will be held on , 15, 2013 at 3pm at Blythe United Methodist Church with Rev. Thurman J. Norville, Jr. officiating. Interment will be private. Mrs. Worley was born in Swainsboro, GA on 12, 1928, but lived in a the majority of her life. She worked for Keller Aluminum for 25 years before retiring where she was known simply as Worley. She enjoyed spending time with her family and could always be counted on by all. She attended Blythe United Methodist Church until illness prevented her presence in church, but not her faith in her Lord. Dee enjoyed fishing and working her puzzle books. She was preceded in death by her parents, Delos and Emma Douglas; her husband, Joe Worley; three brothers, Ivy Douglas, James Douglas, r Douglas; sister, Myrtice Davis; and her step-son, Bobby Worley. Survivors include her daughter, Pauline (Ronald) Stark; her son, Joseph R. (Phyllis) Worley; and step-daughter, Betty Foxworth; five granddaughters, Fran (Bill) Pfeiffer, Angie Coffey and companion Mike Cannington; Emma Muncy and companion Rita Randall; Alicia (John) Cadle and Donna Worley; six great-grandchildren, Jessica Coffey, Brittany Ballenger, Maison Ballenger, Kallie Lane, Candance Manning, and Gavin Manning; and three great-great-grandchildren, Andraya Garcia, Cristian Garcia, and Elena Arias; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on , 14, 2013, at Elliott Sons , 2524 Lumpkin Road, a, Georgia 30906. Obituary: Esther Carol Worley, 76, passed away at her home. Esther was born 22, 1940, in Cartersville, GA to the late Loyd P. Worley and Catherine Crowe Worley. Esther was a great fan of NASCAR and loved to read her magazines. She is preceded in death by her parents, Loyd P. Worley and Catherine Crowe Worley, brothers and sisters-in-law, Wallace Worley (Bessie), Clyde Worley (Irene), Claude Worley (Vora Mae), Bobby Worley, L.P. Worley Jr., M.L. Worley (Willie Mae), Earl Worley (Gail), Edward Worley, Mamie Worley, and Bob Keys and sisters, Kathleen Worley, Vivian Dabbs (Neal), Doris Jolly (Hoyt) and Ovilee Howard. Survivors include: Ruby Cagle (George), Ruth Keys, Christine Teems, Glenn Worley. Sisters-in-law; Nellie Mae Worley and Martha Worley. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted in the Owen Chapel , 30, 2017 at two oclock in the afternoon. Obituary: a, GA-Ruby Scott Workman went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on 26, 2016. services will be held 1 P.M. , 1, 2016 at the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons , with her dear friend Tommy Arnett officiating. Her grandson, Mark Workman, will deliver the eulogy and Dr. Larry Brown will conduct the committal services. Born 10, 1916, in Matheny, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Alonza D. and Virginia M. Scott. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 75 years, G.B. "Bill" Workman, as well as her two sisters, Grace S. Fisher and Virginia S. Stewart and three brothers, J. Fergie, Wanna, and Tom Scott, and two half-brothers, Wolsey McGraw and Jim Scott, and one half-sister, Maude S. Cozort. Ruby was the oldest living graduate of Oceana High School in Oceana, West Virginia, where she met Bill. She excelled in her studies and graduated valedictorian of her class. She and Bill made their home in Jesse, West Virginia, where she retired as Postmaster in 1972. She was a member of Guyandotte Baptist Church in Jesse where her greatest contribution was working with the youth of the church. She continued this work in churches in the a area and at the time of her death was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church where she was honored on her 98th birthday with a special "Ruby Workman Day". She is survived by four children, Naoma and husband, Dr. Gerald Ellison, Fayetteville, NC, Earsel Gene and wife, Lynda Bragg-Workman, Hephzibah, Julia Annalee Kulick, Sacramento, California, and Bill Edwin Workman and wife, Diane Workman, North a, SC; nine grandchildren, Lori Fuselier, Mary Kulick, Erica Eder, Karen Kulick, Eric Workman, Jennifer Mann, Craig Workman, Dawn Craft, and Mark Workman; thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren. Special thanks to her loving caregivers; Mary Wolfe and Doretha Williams. Ruby loved flowers and enjoyed many hours working in her flower and vegetable gardens. However, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Guyandotte Baptist Church PO Box 55 Jesse, West Virginia 24849. The family will receive friends 6 P.M. until 8 P.M 29, 2016 at Elliott Sons funeral . |
