Obituary: Eleanor Weber, 101 years of age, died peacefully in her sleep on , 17, 2015 in Winter Park, Florida. She was born in 1914 in Blaine, Washington to Pearl and Reaford Young. She moved and grew up in Chicago, where she met and married Ralph Weber in 1942. eventually moved to Florida in 1956. Eleanor was a longtime member of Broadway United Methodist Church and belonged for many years to the United Methodist Womens Society. In addition to raising her daughters, she was a volunteer at Florida Hospital in Orlando for 35 years. Eleanor is survived by her 3 daughters: Jean Manthey of Wisconsin, Nancy Weber of Lake Mary and Pat Otte of Casselberry ,8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, her son Robert D. Weber and her sister Edna Blacklidge. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff and nurses of Westminster Towers Assisted Living Unit for their gentle and loving care of Eleanor for the 4 years she resided there. We also wish to thank the nurses and aides at Cornerstone Hospice in Winter Park for taking such good care of her In her final days and for the support that they provided the family. A Memorial Service will be held , 5 at 2:30 at Broadway United Methodist Church, Orlando. |

Obituary: Elaine was born on 7 1925 to William and Mary Harding, the 5th of 6 children, and their only daughter. She loved outdoor activities and sports, particularly enjoying field hockey and softball during her years in high school. She was married to LeRoy Weber on 17, 1949 in Langhorne Pennsylvania, and they lived in Warminster Pennsylvania, before moving to Willingboro New Jersey until retirement when they relocated to Ocala Florida. At the age of 79 Elaine made the decision to come out as a lesbian to her family and friends, becoming actively involved with the members of the LGBT community in Tampa Florida. She was interviewed extensively for the DVD documentary Out Late, and spoke out boldly about her convictions and beliefs. Elaine is survived by two sons (Walter and Kevin), 3 grandchildren (Adrienne, Jessica, and Rachael), 5 great-grandchildren (Jaydon, Eleni, Evey, Giovanni, and Thomas), numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins - and a wide variety of friends with whom she shared her time, her joy, her friendship, and her life. It is in those memories and our hearts that she will live on. |

Obituary: Donnell Don Weber, 82 took a shuttle to the beyond on 20, 2017. Born to John and Grace Weber, he was the oldest of 3 sons. grew up on a farm/ranch in the Logan area of Nebraska. When he wasn't doing farm chores he loved fishing, hunting, and riding horses with friends on the weekends. In high school he ran the mile in track, placing third in the state of Nebraska. He also won 1st prize in physics in the state high school scholastic meet. He graduated from Logan High School then took a one year course graduating from Nebraska State Teachers in Pre-Engineering. high school he worked drilling oil fields in Nebraska and Kansas and worked as a steeple-jack painting water towers. He joined the army and went to Guided Missile School in Texas, and then married Lucy Conelly from his high school in Nebraska. He was assigned 2 years in Germany before returning to Nebraska. leaving the Army, he got a job in Feb. 1959 at Patrick Airforce Base for RCA and moved his family to Florida. In Nov. 1961 he went to work for G.E. at Cape Canaveral, then starting 1962 he worked for nine years for North American Rockwell. the Apollo program ended he went to Florida Technical University, which later became UCF, and got his Bachelors of Science Engineering Degree - graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1973. He worked for Harris Semiconductor in Melbourne for a year then returned to KSC. The rest of his career was at The Rocket Ranch a.k.a. Kennedy Space on the shuttle program - working for Federal Electric Corp. from 1974-77, Computer Sciences Corp. 1977-83, Lockheed 1983-84, Grumman Technical Services later Northrop Grumman, Lockheed, and United Space Alliance. He was a software engineer writing code to erase secret data keeping the shuttle program secure. He was president of Parents without Partners for 6 years where he met his second wife Carol Morey and they were married in Nov. 1992. Carol Weber went to heaven in Jan. 2014. He loved gardening and grafting roses. He planted and maintained a rose garden, from the roses he grew, at Grace United Methodist Church which he attended since the church was first built in 1962. He square danced 2 or 3 times a week, liked canoeing, Gheenoeing, hiking, fishing, watching bull riding competitions, and news shows! He is survived by his children: Dr.Doug Weber and his wife Olya, Katrina Bedard, LaCinda Zimmer and her husband Robert; Carol's children David Morey and his wife Heather, Jeannie Morey; and grandchildren Nick Bedard, Bella Weber, and Alec & Adam Morey. Wed like to thank Mary Jane, his gardening cohort and friend, and her husband Ed Raliegh, Ed Stukie, Elizabeth Clark, Anna White, and his many friends for the help and assistance theyve given over the years. |
