Obituary: Weathersby, Margaret Ruth, 92, of Sun City , FL, is at peace now with our Heavenly Father. She was born Margaret Ruth Waldrip in Columbus, Georgia on 20, 1924 to parents Otis & Edna Waldrip, and went to be with the Lord on 3, 2017. She retired after a 60 year career in the administration and health care field. She so loved working for her life-long friend, Voncille Kelley at Cargo Gasoline Co. & Kelley Oil Co. retiring from there, she went on to be a home companion in Bradenton, FL. Everyone who knew her, loved her. She never had anything negative to say of anyone, and touched so many hearts and lives, always loved God, her family, her friends, and she will never be forgotten. She was a devoted Mother, and had an unconditional love for her children. Preceded in death by her husband, Harry T. Weathersby, Sr., and son, Harry T. Weathersby, Jr. She is survived by her loving daughters, Margaret Ruth Hall (Wally) of Sun City , FL, Mary Ann Fox of Tampa, FL, and loving son Harry Paul Weathersby (Carol) of Seffner, FL. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. For the last 31 years, she was a live-in companion and friend of her daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Wally Hall. In her later years, when she could no longer care for herself, they were the most devoted and loving caregivers anyone could ever ask for. were absolutely Godsent and for that, will always have the heartfelt thanks and gratitude of her family and friends. Her funeral service will be on , 7, 2017, with visitation 1:00 pm, and funeral 2:00 pm, @ Garden of Memories , Tampa, FL. |

Obituary: 90, of Tampa, passed away on , 7th with her family by her side. She was born in Boston, MA, in the Mission Hill Area. Her early family life centered on the Basilica Our Lady of Perpetual Help church. She attended Mission High and had a large family and many cousins in the neighborhood. She spent many summers on Winthrop Beach, MA with her Aunt Frances. In 1953, she married Arthur F. Weathers, an Army officer and they had four children together. The family traveled throughout the US and Europe. settled in Tampa in 1964. She loved spending time with her family, especially around her dining room table sharing family stories. She loved Christmas, and collected many Christmas artifacts. She also loved arts and crafts and volunteered with MacDill Air Force Base Pharmacy for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Major Arthur F. Weathers; brothers, Jack, Bill, Edwin, Charles Young; and sister, Madelyn Vona. She is survived by her four children; Maureen Weathers, Warren Weathers, Mary (Calvin) Switzer, and Arthur K. Weathers; three grandchildren, Kathryn Hough, Sean Orr, and Erick Switzer; one great grandson, Hayden; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A visitation will take place on , 10th from 4-6pm at Blount and Curry, 605 S. MacDill Ave. A funeral service will take place , 11th at 10am at Blount and Curry with a burial to follow at Myrtle Hill . The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at both Tampa General and Bayshore Pointe for their excellent and kind service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your choice.
