Obituary: Hilda M. Valdovinos, 67 of Othello passed away 2, 2014 at the Kadlec Medical in Richland, WA. Hilda was born in Rep Del Oriente, N.L. Mexico on 11, 1946 to Viviano and Ignacia (Pruneda) Martinez. She moved with her family to the US in 1956. She traveled the harvest with her family until settling in Othello in 1963. She married Salvador in Othello on 25, 1983. Hilda went to work for Chef Ready which became Carnation then Nestles. She retired in 1997. Hilda enjoyed the gardens that Salvador created for her. She always wanted to look her best, and so every day even if she knew no was coming over she still would do her hair and makeup. She loved spending time with her dog Rocky. She was known as the peackeeper of the family, always making sure she knew what her family and friends were doing and stepping in to help if they needed it. She will be remembered as a very loving person that touched many people in her lifetime. Hilda was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Ignacia Valdovinos. She is survived by her husband Salvador of Othello, her son Jesus (Angela) Valdovinos of Othello, her brothers Salvador (Maria Reyna) Martinez, Ceaser (Adalia) Martinez, Rene (Aurora) Martinez, Apolinar Martinez and a sister Irma Villa all of Texas. Obituary: Nov.17, 1920- Oct. 19, 2015 Wilma Lucille Valdez Was born to William Brantley and Lucy Moffatt. She was raised on a farm in Johnson City, Tennessee. A warm caring person who touched all who knew her. Her commitment to her family, friends and colleagues is her legacy. She showed us the nature of boundless generosity and kindness, knowing her made us different and better people. We are grateful for our time with her and will always carry her in our hearts. A farm girl all of her young life, the oldest of her two sisters, who she adored, they always fussed with each other all the rest of their lives, but loved each other with a passion, as well!!....Married Leslie Range, early in life had two kids, Billy Peter in 1940 and Brenda Jene in 1942..... Soon after left Tennessee for the Pacific Northwest ( Portland-Vancouver). He went to war, she worked at the shipyards in Vancouver.. Brant Moffatt was born in 1950... Throughout her life Wilma excelled at many professions, Shipyards as a welder during the War, secretary, John Robert Powers Model, joined Civil Air Patrol( auxiliary of the US Air Force) for several years. Was a member of the American Business Womens Association, and so much more. She was always an excellent cook and loved to entertain, her home and table always full..and fun.. She lived a full life made friends every inch of the way. She especially loved her church friends and bible discussions. Was energetic and fun loved dancing, it was huge part of her life, always. Wilma was areal fashion plate, always wore gloves and hats, very much the lady, she took great pride in her appearance, always a dress or a suit, had her hair done once a week at the Beauty Parlor and silk wraps on her nails every three weeks until the very end. I know that upon standing in front of Saint Peter at the Pearly Gates St. Peter said to her, Wilma, you have the most beautiful nails... She loved her family and grandchildren, niece and nephews and their children.. She and Albert her second husband, traveled and loved to cruise.., was a good wife to two husbands and nursed both through their days. The last twenty years her partner was Eugene Batson, whom she adored, until he passed.( they were all dancers )...she was a lot of woman in a tiny package. We will all miss her... Bye, mom |
