Obituary: Charlotte Dodd Voigt passed away on 7, 2012 after a brief but intense battle with brain cancer. She was born near Yellville, Arkansas on 4, 1938 to Cecil Calvin Dodd and Ruth Riley Dodd. She spent her formative years traveling the United States as a military daughter before moving to San Antonio where she met and married her Harlandale High School sweetheart, and husband of 56 years, Raymond O. Voigt. Following marriage, she studied to become a licensed vocational nurse, a profession she loved and practiced for over 40 years. Charlotte was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She loved nurturing her family, friends, patients, and most of all her orchids, awe stopping ferns, and the many plants in her greenhouse and yard. As a respected collector of vintage glass and jewelry, she was asked many times to display her collections for both regional and national shows. Her sense of style and excellent seamstress skills allowed her to make numerous gowns for her daughter throughout her school years. As time progressed, her love of cooking really proved why she was elected President of the Future makers of America in high school twice. A perfect day for her would be a late morning cup of hot coffee swinging with the love of her life, admiring the lovely yard they cultivated together in the home they built over 48 years ago or a antique shopping trip in the travel trailer. She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond O. Voigt of San Antonio; her daughter Terri Graves and son-in-law, Brian Graves of Santa Fe, New Mexico; her son Trent Voigt and daughter-in-law, Sue-Lynn of Van Alstyne, Texas; her granddaughters, Evan Bryn Graves of Santa Fe, and Stolle and Reagan Voigt, also of Van Alstyne; her sister, Judy and her husband, Tom Beeson of Sun City, Arizona; and her father-in-law, Otto Voigt of McQueeney. Obituary: On the evening of 2, 2017, Bernard Barney William Von Voigt, Jr. passed away surrounded by his family in San Antonio, Texas. Barney was born on 11, 1952 at Kinley Air Force Base, Bermuda. He married Dianna Mitchell on 16, 1980. Barney lived in many places while his dad served in the military, including Bermuda, Germany, Texas, California, Arizona and Hawaii. This instilled a great sense of pride and service in Barney. He enlisted eagerly during the draft years and proudly served in the United States Army from 1971 - 1977, and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. Barney had many passions. Above all was love and loyalty for his country, family, friends, and pets. He also loved all things outdoors, including horses, camping, fishing, photography and every type of shooting sport. His child-like enthusiasm for his interests never lost its vigor. And his interests weren just mere hobbies. He poured himself into them, developing high levels of expertise in all of them. He was able to work on anything mechanical, ranging from IT equipment to vehicles, and was an expert gunsmith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Lois Von Voigt, sister Claudia Banasky, and wife of 36 years Dianna Mitchell Von Voigt. He is survived by daughters Melissa Murray and Michelle Wiederstein, grandchildren Jordyn and Trevor Wiederstein, great grandson Joah Wiederstein, and his brother and sister-in-law Karl and Beth Von Voigt and their daughters Amy and Dana Von Voigt. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and his beloved Australian Shepherds, Bear and Candy who are being are being cared for by dear family friends. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on , 29th at Fort Sam Houston National in San Antonio, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Barney and Dianna to the ASPCA at aspca.org/donate. |

Obituary: Richard Bill Voight, 95, of Groves, Texas passed away , 28, 2015. Bill was born 29, 1919 in Bessmay, Texas to Richard and Mamie Voight. He was a lifelong area resident and he graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1939, and also graduated from Lamar in 1949 with an Engineering degree, and in 1951 from the University of Houston with a B.S. degree. Bill retired from Gulf Oil as a chemical engineer and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp and proudly served during World War II. He was a lifelong member of Memorial Baptist Church in Port Arthur where he served as a deacon and was also a member of The Gideons International, and was an Eagle Scout. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Gloria Voight; two sons, Ricky Voight and Randy Voight. Survivors include his daughter, Cindy Voight of Groves; sister-in-law, Mary Voight of Groves; two grandchildren, Recie Voight and Randy Ray Voight; and four great-grandchildren. services will be at 12 noon, , 2, 2015 at Levingston in Groves with Reverend Jeremy Bradshaw and Reverend Bill Bazzell officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Antioch in Buna, Texas. A visitation for family and friends will be held on evening from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
