Obituary: The Cong Vo (or Ong Ngoai) was born on 2, 1921 in Long Chau, Viet Nam to Ly Huu Vo and Dung Thi Do. Ong Ngoai was a retired Captain of the South Vietnamese Marine Corps, later working with Ngan Hang Viet Nam Thuong Tin (Banking of Viet Nam). As a young man, with his talent and intellect, he traveled the world - training at Fort Lee in Virginia as a professional locksmith for the United States government decoding safes and working as a translator in Cambodia. He later settled his family in Tam Binh, Viet Nam, farming rice and fresh produce. In 1991, Ong Ngoai moved to Carrollton, Texas with his beloved wife where he resided until his passing. Ong Ngoai will be remembered as a strong but soft-spoken, simple but sharp, quiet but loving family man. Ong Ngoai enjoyed being outdoors - gardening, landscaping; building, fixing, and re-purposing things; playing Chinese chess (or Co Tuong), playing Solitaire; riding his bicycle; reading the Vietnamese newspaper; and watching the Animal Planet. He was preceded in death by his father, Ly Huu Vo; mother, Dung Thi Do; sister, Nguyen Thi Vo; daughter, Yen-Ngoc Vo; son, Cong-Tu Vo; and son, Hoang-Tuan Vo. Ong Ngoai is survived by his wife of 71 years, Anri Mirmont Vo (Carrollton, TX); son, Cong-Ton Vo (Viet Nam); daughter, Yen-Anh Nguyen (Plano, TX); son, Cong-Man Vo (Viet Nam); daughter, Yen-Tuyet Nguyen (Viet Nam); daughter and caretaker, Yen-Thuy Huynh (Carrollton, TX); son-in-law and caretaker, Thanh Kim Huynh (Carrollton, TX); son, Cong-Minh Vo (Viet Nam); and daughter, Yen-Phuong Vo (Carrollton, TX); 26 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.


Ong Ngoai will be forever loved and forever missed by his family and close friends. Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while, leave footprints on our heart, and we are never, ever the same.


Visitation and rosary services will be held on , 23, 2014 from 6-8pm and , 24, 2014 from 9am-8pm at Rhoton , 1511 South Interstate 35E, Carrollton, TX. services will take place on , 25, 2014 at 8am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 2121 N. Denton Dr., Carrollton, TX, to be followed by the burial service at Moore Memorial Gardens,1219 N. Davis Dr., Arlington, TX.

Nam was born in 1942 in Vietnam. He served as a Captain in the former SRV Army during the Vietnam War. He came with his family to the United States in 1991.

Nam is survived by his wife, Nga T. Nguyen, his two sons, Bang A. Vo and Binh Q. Vo and three daughters, Trang T. Vo, Huong T. Vo and Mai T. Vo and nine grandchildren.

Nam was born and raised in Saigon, Vietnam and immigrated to America in 1991 with her family and siblings. She settled in Austin and built a wonderful life for her family, always putting the needs of others before herself.

Nam had a great passion for life and especially loved traveling the world with her husband. Her favorite destination was Paris but she also loved cruises.

She had a caring, gracious attitude towards others and a great appreciation for natural beauty. Her hobbies included cooking, swimming, shopping, and gardening. Her family and friends were blessed with her good humor and unconditional love for them. Her positive outlook on life was felt by all and she will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held at Cook-Walden Capital Parks in Pflugerville, Texas. Times are as follows:

Obituary: Born and raised in Hue, Viet Nam with an elder brother and a younger sister, Mr. Minh Vo's life was filled with adventures of pre and post war life. His kids lived vicariously through the stories told of the pre war life when he served in the Vietnam Air Force. A Father of five, he never failed to make ends meet during hard times and always he stayed true to his beliefs.

Mr. Minh Vo came to the United States in 2004 and became an active member of the community. He volunteered his time to Dieu Ngu Temple on Westminster, in California and recently Lien Hoa Temple in Houston, Texas.

A loving husband, a dedicated Father, and a great gentle grandpa, Mr. Minh Vo is survived by his two sons, three daughters and seven grandchildren. His loss on May 9th, 2015 will forever leave a void in the hearts of all of those who love him. He will be remembered and dearly missed.

He had bravely confronted and fought cancer. He was born 10, 1977 in Nha Trang, Vietnam and resided in Houston, Texas for the past 5 years. He attended Sarah T Reed High School in New Orleans and went on to become a successful business owner.

Minh is survived by his loving wife Cindy Nguyen; daughters Uyen Vo and Nya Tran; son Hayden Vo; mother Duong Nguyen and step-dad Peter Tran of New Orleans; sister Jasmine Vo and husband Jack Quach; brother Chinh Vo; sisters Cynthia Nguyen, Tracey Nguyen and Amanda Nguyen.

The visitation and wake will be held at Chapel of Eternal Peace, 2454 S Dairy Ashford, Houston TX 77002 on 19, 2014 at 6:00 pm.
