Mass is under the direction of Buffington in Shiner, Texas and will be held at 2:00 pm on , 27, 2015 at Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Shiner, Texas with Father John Peters officiating. Interment will follow at the Shiner Catholic in Shiner, Texas. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm at Buffington Chapel on , 26, 2014. Betty Jean was born on 19, 1937 in Hallettsville, Texas. She was the daughter of Henry and Olivia (Wick) Tobola. She was raised by her grandparents, Joseph and Wilhelmina Tobola. Betty Jean married Alvin James Vaclavik on 22, 1954 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville, Texas. Betty Jean was a maker who diligently managed the family farm with her husband, Alvin. She enjoyed taking care of her flower garden, and always shared this joy by gifting cuttings with her sisters-in-law. In addition to flowers, she maintained a vegetable garden which she used to stock the shelves with a variety of homemade preserves. Betty Jean also delighted in sewing and quilting for her family. She loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren. Betty Jean devoted many hours to church functions, local schools, and religious organizations, including Catholic Daughters and KJZT. She is survived by one son; Alvin James Vaclavik, Jr. and his wife, Mildred of Shiner, Texas, seven daughters; Janice Garcia and her husband, Henry of Schulenburg, Texas, Patricia Vaclavik of Shiner, Texas, Cynthia Cano and her husband, John of Bay City, Texas, Sharon Haas of Shiner, Texas, LaTasha Nicole Vaclavik and her husband, Carlos of Canyon Lake, Texas, Jennifer Lynn Vaclavik of Bryan, Texas, BreAnna Jean Vaclavik of Boston, Massachusetts, one brother; Chester Tobola and his wife, Beatrice of Victoria, Texas, thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Obituary: Louis F. Vacek, 89, of Rosenberg, passed away on May 14, 2016 in Richmond, Texas. He was born to Stanislav and Mary (Gurecky) Vacek on 19, 1926 in Taiton, Texas. He was raised on the family farm in Fairchilds. Louis family moved to Rosenberg where he attended Rosenberg High School. He later joined the U.S. Navy and honorably served our country. Louis then bought a diner and met the love of his life, Bonnie Krum. married and raised 3 children. He then started buying homes and renting them. Louis and Bonnie were owners of Vaceks Club in old downtown Rosenberg for many years. He went on to own several other businesses through the years. Louis was proud to be a WWII Veteran and was affiliated with the V.F.W. Post #3903 (Past Post Commander) and the American Legion. Louis was known by many people and never met a stranger. He loved sharing his war stories with anyone who would listen. We wished we had more time to make more memories with him, but God called him home. He was a good man and helped many people. We love you, daddy, and will miss you. A huge hole has been left in our hearts, but we have our memories locked in our hearts, and no one can take those away. Goodbye daddy, until we see you again. Tell mom hello for us. This loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend will be missed. In addition to his parents, Louis is preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie Vacek Castilla; second wife, Rose Vacek; son-in-law, Herb Marsden; and siblings, Eddie Vacek and Martha Deckert. Survivors include his children, Margaret Vacek McClenan and husband, Cecil, Stanley Vacek, and Bernadette Vacek; grandchildren, Chip Graves and wife, Tamara, Brian Graves and wife, Amy, Michael Graves, Garrett Vacek and wife, Brooke, Joshua Fonseca, Briann Vacek, and Adriana Vacek; great grandchildren, Kaia, Bryce and Addyson Graves, Benjamin Graves, Blakely Vacek, and Emma Vacek; along with numerous extended family and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., , May 20, 2016 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn in Rosenberg. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., , May 21, 2016 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn in Rosenberg. Burial, with full military honors, will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
