Obituary: Fred Nicola Villacci, 85, of Falmouth, Maine passed away unexpectedly morning, 18th, 2013. Fred was born in Falmouth on 2, 1928 where he attended Falmouth schools in his childhood and where he remained a lifelong Falmouth resident. Fred loved to keep busy working very hard as an employee of Downeast Energy for the past 38 years, and over 65 years as a self-employed landscaper planting and spreading kindness to everyone he met. Fred had many interests that included a lot of outdoor activities. He was an avid hunter and loved to fish. Spending time at the family camp in Freeman Township were some of his fondest memories. He also enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Fred was an active and much loved member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in Falmouth, Maine and was the first recipient of their Good and Faithful Servant Award for the many lives he touched in his community. Fred is survived by his children Linda Lowell, Brenda Villacci, Pam Reynolds and her husband George, Debbie Rutter and her husband James and Fred J. Villacci. Fred counted 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren among his valued family along with a surviving sister, Marie Brown and a brother, Daniel Villacci and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. Fred was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy (McCurdy) Villacci as well as 15 other siblings. Fred had the fortune to spend the years after his wife died with a close friend, Arlene Osier and her family. Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 7 PM on , 22nd, 2013 at Jones, Rich & Hutchins at 199 Woodford Street, Portland, Maine. services will be held at 10 AM on , 23rd, 2013 at Emmaus Lutheran Church at 265 Middle Road, Falmouth, Maine. Obituary: Anna Decma Villacci FALMOUTH--Anna Decma Villacci, 86, passed away on , Jan. 20, 2011 of natural causes after a brief downturn in health, at the ME Medical in Portland. She was born on 8, 1924, in Fort Fairfield, ME, to Verna & George Hammond. As a child, she & her two younger siblings grew up on the farm in Pownal, as her mother worked hard at running a oarding home for travelers, to support themselves during hard depression-era years. Decma was particularly fond of and inseparable from her cousin, Joyce Spinny Johnson, who lived with them, as well. Decma was a graduate of North Yarmouth Academy and in her youth worked as a Rosie the Riveter type role during WWII at the shipyards in Portland Harbor. She was a communicant of St. Josephs Catholic Church, Portland. Her husband of 50 years, Joseph V. Villacci, passed away in 1999. In her early years she loved to dabble in real estate. It drove her husband up the wall!! Hed get settled and comfortable in one home and shed be itchin to buy, fix-up, & move on to her next venture. had acquired and lived in as many as seven homes before finally building their own & permanently settling in Falmouth. She would only drive Caddys as she so often called them, and even though her driving capabilities ceased several years back, she was unwilling to sell off her last black 1973 Fleetwood. She was a wonderful homemaker & was happy to make a second career of taking care of everyone else. She tirelessly & lovingly doted on her mother, husband & sister to their last days here with us. She absolutely loved thoroughbred & harness racing & frequented the Lewiston track & was a well-known figure amongst her peers at Scarborough Downs. She loved to bet on the Super Perfectas and was successful numerous times, but was only too happy to give it all back to feeding the horses. Another favorite passtime of Decmas was watching the Red Sox play ball & she was absolutely thrilled to have been able to witness them winning the World Series - FINALLY!! Decma was predeceased by her parents, husband, Joe Villacci, sister, Elizabeth Betty Casey, and brother, George Billy Hammond. She is survived by her daughter, Lauren Morse, of Falmouth; grand-daughters, Deborah Flint, of Gorham and Laurie Morse, of Saco; great-grandchildren, Abby and Matthew Flint of Gorham; and several nieces & nephews. Visiting hours will be from 5-7 p.m. on , Jan. 27th at Jones, Rich & Hutchins , 199 Woodford St., Portland. services will be held , Jan. 28th at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Obituary: Victoria B. (Downs) Chadbourne Viles, known to all as Dodie, of Skowhegan, went home to be with her Lord and Savior May 25, 2015. She was born 18, 1921, in Harmony, Maine, The youngest daughter of Guy and Beth Downs, she was a graduate of Harmony High School in Harmony, Maine, completed on year at Maine School of Commerce in Bangor, Maine, and took a six month C.N.A. course in Boston, Massachusetts. She was employed by many hospitals in Massachusetts and Maine. She joined the WAC (Womans Army Corps) during WWII. an honorable discharge, she married childhood sweetheart Clayton Chadbourne. her husband Claytons death, Dodie moved to Skowhegan to nurse at Redington Fairview General Hospital where she met her second husband Norris Viles of N. Anson, Maine. his death, she moved back to Skowhegan where she made many good friends. She was a former member of Harmony Grange, Morning Star Rebecca Lodge, serving as Noble Grand for one year. Dodie played bridge with Ruth Buttons Bridge Club and she was a member of RSVP ( Reach and Senior Volunteer Program.) she attended Crossroads Bible Church and was a member of First Baptist Church of Harmony, Maine. Dodie loved people and wrote stories and poems when asked to. She was predeceased by her parents, her two husbands, her son Roderick Ricky Chadbourne, her two sisters Maple Young and Virginia Harrington, her brother Clinton Kinky Downs and her grandson Chad Clayton Willette. She is survived by her daughter Nancy and son-in-law Dennis Willette of Skowhegan, Grandson Casey Willette and his wife Jennifer and great grandson Brady all of Lutz, FL, granddaughter in-law Eliza Willette-Ruthruff and three great-grandchildren, who named her Dance, Rand, Paige, and Jaide Willette all of Land O Lakes, FL, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and sister and brother-in-laws. She will be remembered through a memorial service to be held on May 30, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Harmony, High St., Harmony, Maine, prior to her journey home she requested her memorial be officiated by Pastor Curtis Kanagy and her son-in-law Dennis Willette. She will be laid to rest in the Chadbourne in Harmony following the service. are under the care of Smart & Edwards , 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine. Obituary: Thelma E. (King) Vigue, 87, of Skowhegan passed away to be with the love of her life Earl on 27, 2012 in Skowhegan, Maine. She was born 30, 1924 in Madison, Maine, the daughter of Joseph A. King and Adeline (Goulette) King Butler. Thelma was educated in Madison and Waterville Schools. She married Earl L. Vigue on 6, 1946, he passed away in 2007. She worked at Medwed Shoe for 21 years and then worked 14 years at the Womens Correctional in Skowhegan, and then worked for Stevens School in Hallowell for one year. Thelma was a communicant of Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church in Skowhegan, and she was a past member of the Skowhegan/ Madison Elks Auxiliary, receiving the award of First Lady Elk. She is survived by her daughter Carol A. (Vigue) Therrien and her husband Ray W. Therrien, her grandchildren: Raymond M. Therrien and his wife Tammy, Shana L. Foss and her husband Fred, great-grandchildren: Alex, Sheridian and Charisma; sisters: Beverly Meinhardt of Seminole, FL, Norma Goff of NH, several nieces and nephews whom she loved all so very much and thought of them as her very own. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, brothers: William and Francis Peters; sisters: Joyce LaBarge and Irene Guarino. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on 21, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, Water Street, Skowhegan, Maine with a burial to follow at the Calvary in Skowhegan, Maine. Obituary: Waterville - George A. Vigue, 97, of Winslow passed away 19, 2010 at Lakewood and Rehabilitation . He was born 11, 1913 in Waterville, Maine, a son of the late George and Adelaide (Grenier) Vigue. He was the oldest of twelve children. He was employed for many years at the American Woolen in North Vassalboro, Sealtest Food, as a route salesman and lastly as a salesman for Pullen Ford, where he retired. George was a veteran of World War II serving from 1943 to 1946 in the European Theater. He received an honorable discharge in 1946 where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was commander of First World War, Frank D. Ronco Post #126 in North Vassalboro. He also served as Kennebec Commander in 1947-1948. He was a life member of American Legion Post #5 in Waterville and served as post commander, adjutant, service officer and house chairman. He was also a life member of VFW Post # 8835 in Winslow and a life member of Waterville Lodge of Elks # 905. Was 1st Chairman of North Kennebec Regional Planning Commission and served on Winslows Town Planning Board. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Winslow and a former 4th degree member of the Waterville Knights of Columbus. He also belonged to the Are You OK Program. George was an avid hunter and fisherman. In 1967 while fishing on China Lake with his wife Dora, he caught a brown trout weighing 9lbs. and 11oz, which made him a member of the One That Didn Get Away Club of Maine. He loved to play cribbage and held a perfect hand, playing with friend Gerald Proulx in 1999. George was predeceased by his parents, wives Dora Daugier Vigue and Adelaide Mayo Gilbert Vigue, brothers Norman (Pete) Vigue and Donald Vigue, sisters Rose Peverada, Pauline Chasse, Madeline Marcoux, and Melvina Cox. Survivors include brother, Richard Vigue of Texas, sisters: Martha Rogers, Theresa Potelle and Joan Deschaine of Winslow, Christine Burgess of Florida, step-son, Clifford Gilbert of Arizona. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great friends Roger and Pat Smith of Winslow. Friends and relatives may call from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on , 23rd at Veilleux , 8 Elm ST. Waterville. American Legion Post #5 Memorial Service will be held at 3 PM on . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Winslow on , 24th with a committal service to follow at the Maine Veterans Memorial on Old Belgrade Rd. in a. Military services will be under the direction of VFW Post #8835 of Winslow and Maine Military Honors Program of a.
