She loved playing Bingo, cleaning ducks, hunting turtles, cooking, drinking coffee, and crabbing. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and cherished her only granddaughter. She is survived by her loving daughter, Donna Vincent and husband Michael Roche, Sr. of Cameron Parish; sister, Yvonne Thibodeaux from Creole; brother, John Boudreaux and his wife Margaret of Bell City; sister-in-laws, Ruby Boudreaux of Lake Charles, Dorothy Manuel, Linda Dahlen and husband Richard of Creole; along with granddaughter, Alexis Vincent. Veda is preceded in death by her husband, William Burt Vincent; son, Lawrence Raymond LeBouef; grandbaby, Lawson LeBouef; parents, Valsin and Marie Boudreaux; brothers, Leroy Boudreaux, and Pierre Jr. Boudreaux; brother-in-laws Amos Thibodeaux, and Amos Vincent and wife Louverta, along with father and mother-in-laws Jule and Allie Vincent Services will be held at 10:30am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Creole on , 31, 2016. Visitation will be held at Hixson of Lake Charles on , 30, 2016 from 5:00-9:00pm with a Rosary at 6:00pm. Obituary: Shelton Joseph Vincent, 81, died , Nov. 18, 2014, in his residence. He was a native of Gueydan and had been a longtime resident of Sulphur. He was a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church and had been a Cursillo member since 1972. He was the owner and operator of Vincents Welding for 40 years. Shelton enjoyed working in his shop, playing the fiddle and the accordion, but his true joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Delores Vincent; his children, Monte Keith Vincent and wife Patricia of Dallas, Texas, and Kala Phillips and husband David of Lake Charles; three brothers, Hubert Grobeck Vincent, Warren Vincent and Elwood Vincent, all of Sulphur; and two granddaughters, Natalie and Hannah Phillips. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Ivy Vincent; two children, Anita Lynn Vincent and Vicky Diane Vincent; two brothers, J.C. and Melvin Vincent; and two sisters, Frances Cormier and Doris Vincent. His funeral will be at 2 p.m. , Nov. 21, in Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church. The Rev. Andrews Kollannoor will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines South in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial . Visitation is from 5-9 p.m. with a rosary service at 6 p.m. and from 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
