Obituary: Mr. LaFrance VanderBurg, age 90, of Ocala, Florida, passed away , 19, 2013. LaFrance was born on , 31, 1922 in Hardwick, Minnesota to parents William VanderBurg and Elizabeth Alyda Niemeyer. He was a school teacher in the education industry. His lessons and memory will live on always. A graveside service will be held , 25 at 11:30 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 400 Woodlawn Road, Gotha, Florida 34734. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at y Hand Colonial , 2811 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, Florida 32806. Obituary: Gilbert J. Vanderburg, Sr. 1920-2017 Gilbert J. Vanderburg, Sr., 97, passed away peacefully in his sleep on 20, 2017. Gilbert was born, raised, lived and worked in the Bessemer, Alabama area until he moved to Pensacola in 2002. He is a veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. He flew B-24 Liberators in WWII, served in the USAF reserves after WWII and returned to active duty during the Korean Conflict. He was self-employed in automotive sales and service and worked until the age of 83. He loved Alabama football, fishing, helping others and he never met a stranger. He was a devoted son, husband, father and grandfather. He had five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren who will miss his antics and his candy dish. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project online or at P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517. A graveside service will be held on , 29, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens, 1985 Nine Mile Road, Pensacola, FL. Eastern Gate Memorial has been entrusted with the arrangements. |
