Obituary: VERA TRINCHERO TORRES Vera Trinchero Torres, one of Napa Valleys most generous wine pioneers, passed away peacefully on 22, 2014. She was 76. Vera was born in New York City to Mario and Mary Trinchero. In 1948, when Vera was ten, the family purchased the Sutter Winery and moved to St. Helena, California. graduating from St. Helena High School, Vera began a career as a legal secretary. Later she joined the family business and held key roles at Sutter Winery, including company secretary and overseeing the company's charitable activities, while raising her two sons, Anthony Tony Torres and Robert Bob Torres with her husband, Ray Torres. Vera and her brothers Bob and Roger worked together to build Sutter into one of the top-selling premium varietal wine brands in the U.S., and one of the preeminent success stories of the wine industry. Veras two sons followed in the family footsteps, quickly becoming key executives in the organization. As a breast cancer survivor and owner of the family-run business, Vera continued her dedication to the cause - helping raise more than $1 million towards the fight against breast cancer through the Sutter program. In recognition of her philanthropic efforts and service to the community, Vera was named Woman of the Year for the 2nd District of the California State Senate in 1996, and St. Helena Citizen of the Year in 1999. Trinchero Family Estates remains a family-owned, family-run business. Vera is survived by her sons Tony Torres, Principal and SVP Administration, and Bob Torres, Principal and SVP Operations; her brothers Bob Trinchero, Principal and Chairman, and Roger Trinchero, Principal and CEO; and her four grandchildren Laina, Michael, Mathew, and Julia. Our mothers generosity to the community was legendary, as a supporter of many causes benefiting people young and old. Her son Bob Torres noted, She will be remembered for her philanthropy and for the way she lived life to the fullest \ working, bringing up a family, and even dancing at winery and charitable events with her lifelong best friend, Mary (Torres) Scheel. Her brother Roger Trinchero added, She will be dearly missed by all of us. She was one of a kind. Obituary: Ty was born on 17, 1996 to Jerome and Olga Torres, he is also the son of Robert Munoz whom cared and loved him as his own son since the age of 3. Ty attended Buena Vista and Old River Elementary Schools, Warren Jr High where he graduated with a gold seal and Independence High School. He was an excellent speller, landed on the principles list in the 5th grade and was on the honor role list up until his freshman year. He learned how to drive at the age of 14 and got his drivers license at the age of 16. He was a rebel, but if you knew Ty personally he was also very kind, loving and affectionate. He had a beautiful smile and was often called a pretty boy. He was the center of attention where ever he went and made everyone laugh. Ty would always make sure to tell those that he cared about how much he loved them. He spent most of his time with his dad who was his confidant, he worked hard and looked up to his father as his mentor, they had a special bond as father and son. Ty was an adventurous guy. At a young age Ty enjoyed riding his skate board, boogie boarding at Pismo Beach and loved to play video games. He loved music and played in a band where they performed at a few local places in town, he loved his guitar, his plugs and his tattoos. Ty shared his spiritual life with his mother with love and encouragement he attended Awanas for 10 years from the age of 2 to the age of 12 at Valley Baptist; he participated in their games and learned scripture through the word of God. He also attended Central Seventh Day Adventist Church in the youth group for a short time. Ty liked eating fruit, drinking lemonade and enjoyed his mothers homemade cheese enchilada casserole. Ty came from a large family on his moms side, who all loved him very much, more than he knew. Ty also has a very loving and praying family on his dads side whom have cared for him and loved him unconditionally throughout his life. Ty has a girlfriend named Lauren and I want to thank her from the bottom of my heart for loving him the way she did. have a precious baby girl named Charlotte whom Ty will live through for the rest of her life. Ty is survived by his parents Jerome and Olga Torres, his step dad Robert Munoz, his sisters: Amber Robideaux, Kristen Torres, step siblings: Brianna Munoz, Anthony Munoz, a nephew: Caden Robideaux, nieces Kylie and Avery Espinoza his precious daughter Charlotte Torres and his girlfriend Lauren Morales. Ty is also survived by his family friends, tons of cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents Manuel and Linda Torres, Hortencia Medrano, preceded in death by his grandfather Juan Medrano. We come here today to celebrate his life one that he will continue living in eternity recovered, sober and now rests at peace.
