Obituary: Janet was born in Akron, Ohio on May 25, 1933 and married there on 11, 1955. She moved to Rossmoor, California in 1972 with her husband and family. raising her children, she started college in 1976 and eventually began a new career as a social worker. She received both her bachelors degree and masters in social work from Cal State Long Beach in 1986 and 1990, respectively. At age 62, she became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for the State of California, working 15 years well into her 70s on behalf of the developmentally disabled at Lanterman Developmental in Pomona, California. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles, sons Jeff, Gregory, and Brian, and daughter Kathy Bokemeyer of Bloomington, IL, and granddaughters Lauren, Brianna, and Madeline. She is also survived by her sister Marlowe of Winchester, Tennessee, and her brother Kenneth Witter of Akron, Ohio. She dedicated many years raising her family of 4 active children. Janet was always kind and generous and was an inspiration to us all. She quietly passed away on 17, 2017, at age 84, due to complications from pneumonia. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. A funeral service will be held at St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Los Alamitos, CA at 10:00 AM on , 25th, followed by internment at Forest Lawn in Cypress. A lunch reception will be held at Brian and Elizabeth Tomasins home afterwards. Please join us as we celebrate Janets life and legacy. |

Obituary: Tomasi, Jennie Jerry G. Jerry was born on 13, 1923 in Fresno, CA to Pete and Jennie Musto of Italy. She lived in Fresno until she moved to Sacramento as a young woman, where she met and married Harry Tomasi. lived in the Bay Area for several years before returning to Sacramento with their two sons, Roger and Ron. Jerry lived a very busy life as a devoted wife, dedicated mother, sister, and friend to all. She and Harry managed apartment complexes before starting their business, Tomasis Natural Foods, in Carmichael. Later, as a single woman, Jerry worked at Raleys, was an independent distributer of various product lines (vitamins, ladies and mens comfort shoes); she also taught ballroom dancing and sold dance accessories. She was very active in local dance clubs and related organizations. Jerry passed away on 11, 2014 in Carmichael after a very long illne3ss. During her home confinement, she often commented that Every day is a Challenge. Jerry was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Jennie Musto, all of her siblings: Josephine, Mary, Della, Grace, John, Peter J., Bill, Joe, and Jim (a half-brother). She was also preceded by her sons, Ron and Roger, ex-husband Harry, and many friends. She is survived by ever faithful friends: Fr. Michael Stinson, Eric Geibel, Amy Rutschow, Patrick Risse, and many nieces and nephews. Survived also by daughters-in-law: Donna Tomasi and Marilyn Tomasi, two granddaughters, Taylor and Riley, and Cooper Jay (great-grandson). Visitation will be on 7-18-2014 from 6-7pm, with a Vigil Service at 7pm at Nicoletti, Culjis, & Herberger , 5401 Folsom Blvd. Sacramento. On 7-19-2014, there will be a Requiem Mass at 12 noon at St. Stephen the First Martyr Roman Catholic Church, 5461 44th St., Sacramento, followed by interment at St. Marys Catholic , 6700 21st Ave, Sacramento. Jerry will be missed but forever remembered as a deeply religious, brave, kind-hearted, beautiful woman.
