Obituary: Reverend Mahlon Reed Thomason a resident of Mobile for the past 27 years, went to be with his Lord on , 22. Mahlon was born 11, 1916 in Sheffield, AL, to Robert Lee and Evie Thomason. The family including three brothers and three sisters moved to Decatur, AL, where Mahlon lettered in high school football, worked at the Alabama Hosiery Mill and attended Central Baptist Church where he was called to the preaching ministry. As a newlywed, Mahlon and his wife, Beulah, attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Mahlon attended several universities including Wheaton near Chicago, East Tennessee State University and Jacksonville State University (Alabama). He received a Bachelor of Theology degree from Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, KY. He pastored several churches including Grace Baptist, Elizabethton, TN; First Baptist, Paintsville, KY; Berean Baptist, Mobile, AL; and Liberty Baptist, Chelsea, AL. Mahlon was married to Beulah Cooper Thomason for more than 63 years until her death in 2003. He is survived by three children: Becky Duncan of Mobile, Judy (Lowell) Addy of Wichita Falls, TX and David (Sandy) Thomason of Spanish Fort, AL and six grandchildren who will lead the memorial service and serve as pallbearers: Michael (Jean) Duncan of Mobile, Josh (Jamie) Duncan of Portland, OR, Mason (Beth) Addy of Dallas, TX, Lucas Addy of Austin, TX, Melanie Thomason of Atlanta, GA, and Anna Thomason of Spanish Fort, along with three great-granddaughters: Madison and Natalie Duncan of Portland, OR and Alexa Duncan of Mobile. Visitation will be held on , Feb. 26, 2011 from 12pm until the 2pm service time from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens . Obituary: Georgia L. Steelman Thomason, 93, of Anniston, AL left her earthly home for her heavenly home , 2, 2016. She was born 30, 1922. Before moving to Anniston, AL to be close to her daughter, she lived most of her life in Hampton, Arkansas. While in Hampton she worked alongside her husband in the courthouse while he served as sheriff of Calhoun and later she was owner of a womens clothing store on Main Street in Hampton. However her most loved positions in life were wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Saks in Anniston, AL. She is preceded in death by her parents, Curtis Steelman and Hattie Jones Raney; husband, Kenneth (K.O.) Thomason; two sons, Howard Thomason and Ronnie Thomason; one daughter, Ann Thomason; and one brother, W.C. Farley. She is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Coleman of Anniston, AL; six grandchildren, Nancy Thomason, Judy Turner, Jason Thomason, Justin Thomason (Christina Marie), Rhonda (Sean) Johnson, and Britt (Courtney) Coleman; sixteen great grandchildren, Abby Hand, Shelby Bailey, Dalton Turner, Jesse Turner, Dylan Thomason, Christin Thomason, Asia Thomason, Cal-El Thomason, Rogue Thomason, McKenzie Johnson, Maddox Johnson, Brooks Johnson, Cam Coleman, Carlie Coleman, Case Coleman, and Caroline Coleman; three great-great grandchildren, Kaden, Gammon, and Olivia; and many nieces, nephews, and friends; and her special fur baby, Casey. Georgia was well loved and will be missed dearly. Visitation will be , 12, 2016 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Benton in Fordyce, Arkansas with funeral services beginning at 11:00 am. Obituary: Carl William Thomason, Jr., age 86, of Clanton, passed away on 20, 2016. Carl served in the US Navy, and attended Clear Creek Baptist Bible in Kentucky. He was a retired missionary for Baptist Mid-Missions. Carl served as Chaplain for Shelby Sheriff’s Office and Shelby Baptist Medical , where he started the Chaplain program. He was a member of Wilton Bible Baptist Church. He also loved fishing, hunting and playing golf.
