Obituary: William Elwood Tomlin, 74, of Monroe, passed away , May 1, 2011 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. Born 11, 1936 in Amherst , he was the son of the late J. Jordan and Beulah Mae Tomlin and was also preceded in death by one brother, Carlton Tomlin and two sisters, Ora Mae and Betty Sue Tomlin. Mr. Tomlin retired from Montague Betts as a steel fabricator and was a member of Smyrna U.M. Church. Mr. Tomlin is survived by four daughters, Jane Foster and her husband, Gary, Marie Bryant and her husband, Bobby, Linda Thompson and her husband, Robert, and Sheila Trent and her husband, Paul; two sons, James Edward Tomlin and wife, Sharon and Harry Tomlin and wife, Patricia, all of Amherst ; three sisters, Mildred Falls, Barbara Campbell, and Pat Cash; three brothers, Frank Tomlin, Wayne Tomlin, and Arch Tomlin; ten grandchildren, Christy, Angie, Mandy, Jennifer, Terri, Travis, Brittany, John, Cody, and Trevor; nine great-grandchildren and his former wife and friend, Corennia Tomlin. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., , May 4, 2011 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Joyce Austin officiating. Interment will follow in Briarwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m., , May 3, 2011 at the funeral home and other times at the residence. Obituary: Rodney Jewel Tomlin, 76, of Lynchburg, passed away, , 5, 2017 at Guggenheimer . He was the loving and devoted husband of the late Barbara Mayhew Tomlin for fifty years. Born 4, 1941 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late William ODonal and Bertha Dowdy Tomlin and was also preceded in death by a son, Perry Tomlin. Rodney retired from Limitorque Corp. after more than forty years of service. When not by one of his grandchildrens side, he was always found helping others or cooking up a meal by his wifes side. Rodney is survived by one daughter, Cathy T. Jacobs and husband, Poncho of Forest; two sons, Bruce D. Tomlin of Lynchburg and Jody D. Tomlin and wife, Tina of Richmond; four brothers, William O. Tomlin, Jr., Lewis Tomlin and wife Melodye of Machipongo, Tony Tomlin (Wanda Farmer), and Fred Tomlin and wife Gayle, both of Madison Heights; a sister, Sheila Pappas of Mechanicsville; a daughter-in-law, Robin Riggenbach of Richmond; eight grandchildren, H.D. Jacobs, Madison Jacobs, Samantha Ferguson and husband Nick, Kaitlyn F. Tomlin, Kamryn Tomlin, Kaitlyn L. Tomlin, Tiffany Benjamin and husband Dan, and Jacob Tomlin and three great-grandchildren, Kailee Vick, Tyler Vick, and Caleb Ferguson A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., , 10, 2017 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Obituary: Robin Lea Tomlin, 50, of Esmont, Virginia departed this life on 21, 2014, peacefully at her residence. She was born in Charlottesville, Virginia on May 3, 1964 to Michael and Irene Hicks. She graduated from Fluvanna High School in 1982. She was a loving and faithful wife of 25 years, a passionate and devoted mother of her four children. She was a loving daughter and daughter-in-law, supportive sister and sister-in-law, and amazing aunt. Family was a priority to Robin. She enjoyed shopping, camping, fishing, and being with family and friends. She always touched others by wearing a smile upon her face and would open her heart and home to anyone in need. Obituary: Rachel Nash Tomlin, 86, of Lynchburg, passed away on , 2, 2014 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ret. Captain Carroll Maynard Tomlin, US Army. Born on 25, 1928 in Madison Heights, she was the daughter of the late Alma Proffitt Nash and Sally Woody Nash Story. Rachel worked at the Zip Store where she retired as the Assistant Manager. She was a member of Jordan Baptist Church. She traveled with her husband for 20 years while he was in the Army. Rachel loved her church and her family and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Glen Tomlin; her sister, Loretta Nash; and her brother, James Nash. She is survived by her two sons, Richard S. Tomlin and wife Terri of Picayune, MS and James Tomlin of Lynchburg; her six grandchildren, John Tomlin, Christina Dyer and husband Dustin, Courtni Anderson and husband Chris, Samantha Janowiec and husband David, Jessica Donat and husband Mike, and Heather Tomlin Wagner; her eight great grandchildren, Jordan, Madison, Avery, Cole, Jacek, Connor, Hailey, and Zane; and numerous other family members. Obituary: TOMLIN, Michael Scott, 49, of Louisa , passed away peacefully into the Kingdom of Heaven at home on 15, 2014. He was born in Richmond and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard D. and Fannie Tomlin and Tandy S. and Mabel LeStourgeon. Survivors include his mother, Mary Ellen Neapolitan and her husband, John; father, Richard D. Tomlin, Jr. and his wife, Holley; brother, Gregory A. Tomlin and his wife, Sandra; brother, Lt. John Daniel Tomlin, USCG; and nephews, Wyatt G. and Rhett D. Tomlin. Mike was a graduate of Hermitage High School and was a self-employed painter. He took pride in doing a job right and making customers happy. Mike was a devoted, loving son, with a big heart and concern for others. He loved kids, especially spending time with his nephews and cousins at family gatherings. He trusted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. His remains rest at the Parham Chapel of Woody , 1771 N. Parham Road, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. and where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. . Interment Westhampton Memorial Park.
