Obituary: Princess Reverend Reva Rhodes Takuro was born 21, 1950 in Roper, North Carolina to Ida Webb Rhodes and the late Henry Rhodes. God called her home to the pearly gates of heaven , May 30, 2017 to be His new guardian angel. She is preceded in death by her five siblings, Janie Rhodes Sanders, Joe Louis Rhodes, Stanley Rhodes, Vernon Rhodes and Evelyn Rhodes. At the young age of 12 is when she gave her life to Christ. She was baptized and joined Shiloh Church of Christ in Roper, North Carolina. Reva later moved to Richmond, Virginia and transferred her membership to Cedar Street Baptist Church where she was very active. She attended Smith Madden Business , Virginia Commonwealth University, J. Sargeant Reynolds Community and Richmond Virginia Seminary where she received a wealth of education. She worked 40 years in Richmond, Virginia as a social worker before retiring to dedicate her life to the ministry full-time. Rev. Reva was involved in outreach ministries for over 40 years working with Love Outreach, Blessed Hope Baptist Church, Cedar Street Baptist Church, Men and Women Shelters within the Tri-cities of Virginia and neighboring communities. The William Robinson was blessed to have her minister every fourth . God birthed a ministry out of her and she was assigned to Shepherd of Glorious Church & Witness of Christ Visionary. Since 1990, she had preached to people of all walks of life, and was a dedicated woman of God. On 20, 2016 she was ordained as the Rev. Reva Rhodes Takuro to the office of Pastor. She was joined together in marriage and to her life companion and true friend, Zaccheaus Adewole Takuro on 22, 1981. Her many talents were playing the piano and singing. Rev. Reva has approached the assignment from God in the spirit of Solomon who declared: Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours? (2 Chronicles 1:10). She was a loving wife, sister, aunt and mother figure to many in the community that lent a help hand. The gift of love she left behind will always be treasured. Her triumphant was announced and she leaves to cherish her memories, a beloved husband, Zaccheaus Adewole Takuro; one step-son, Akinrinde Takuro; seven sisters, Merlene Simpson, Hazel Simpson, Kinnell Rhodes Bender (Rev. Kenneth Bender), Rosa Hill (Earnest), Joyce Rhodes, Ezzaline Downing and Judy Rhodes; three brothers, Robert Rhodes, Allen Rhodes, Jr. and William Rhodes (Rhonda); and a host of other relatives and friends. A Godly woman is a woman of value. She is worth far more than rubies. |

Obituary: Jeanne Marcile Stageberg Tait, 92 passed away 30, 2015 in her home. She completed her earthly duties and has begun her everlasting journey with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jeanne was born on 18, 1922 to the late Joel and Myrtle Stageberg in Dawson, Minnesota. She later relocated to Madison, Minnesota when her father was elected Lac qui Parle Treasurer. Jeanne graduated high school in 1940 to go on to attend Macalester in St. Paul, Minnesota for two years. On the advice of a neighborhood lady, she obtained a job as a Pharmacist at Hovland Drug Store in Dawson to make sure it was what she wanted to do. She loved it and then entered The University of Minnesota to earn her Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy in 1949. She worked as a Pharmacist in the Medical Arts Building in Minneapolis, Minnesota for one year and then Hedlung Drug Store before marrying the love of her life, Frank Stearns Tait on 29, 1954 to relocate to Milbank, South Dakota. Jeanne and Frank were blessed with two sons: Mark Stearns in 1960 and Jonathan Paul in 1963. She and her family moved to Miami, Florida in 1973 to support her husbands career with Bill Brites Campus Crusade for Christ for six years and then relocated to Norfolk, Virginia where he worked for Pat Robertsons Christian Broadcasting Station until his passing in 2010. Jeanne was an active member of Kempsville Presbyterian Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia and attended as often as her health allowed. She was a faithful servant and loved the Lord. Jeannes daily routine included fun and productive endeavors that always included a smile. She praised the Lord, watched her favorite television shows (The Weather Channel, TBN, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy) and read the newspapers from The Virginian Pilot and The Grant Review. Her favorite pastimes included solving crossword puzzles (Cryptograms, Crosswords and Sudoku) and reading a great book to share the story. She stayed abreast of the current affairs in Milbank and stayed in touch with all who she loved and adored. My Dearest Mark and Jonathan It was a pleasure to have had you in my life. I thank you for all the sacrifices that you made to make my life worth living and the love, happiness and laughs you brought to me. Obituary: James L. Tait of Grottoes, VA passed away at 91 years of age on 14, 2014. He was born on 11, 1923 in Brooklyn Village, Ohio. He attended Strongsville Schools and was class President in his senior year. He is survived by his wife Joan, with whom he was married 64 years, daughter, Melanie J. Clem of Stuarts Draft, VA, son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Annie Tait of Grottoes, VA, and a special person in his life, William Hunter McCray of Crimora, VA. Upon graduation he served his country in WWII in the Asian Pacific Theater with Army combat in the Philippines and later going into Japan with the first occupational troops with General McArthur. Returning home to Ohio he worked on numerous purebred Angus farms in Ohio and Virginia. In 1953, he and his wife decided to start milking twelve Holstein cows. Thus, the start of Gloryland Holsteins which later moved to Virginia in 1977. While in Ohio, he enjoyed serving on the Medina Fair Board as director and President of the Board. Once moving to Virginia he became the State Holstein Show Chairman and was Co-Chairman for the National Holstein Convention in Norfolk, Virginia. He had a deep love for the Registered Holstein cow and the breeders who owned them. He treated everyone with compassion and lived his life trying to help others. He truly loved living in Virginia and especially his last 24 years near New Hope. In his later years, macular degeneration, had taken a toll on his eyesight. He was unable to attend shows and activities he dearly loved. He always enjoyed listening about the cows and numerous visitors that visited the farm from around the world. He will be buried at Ohio Western Reserve National at Seville, Ohio in Medina . We are honoring his wishes to be cremated and no memorial service. Obituary: Jack Edwin Tait, 80 of Waynesboro, passed away , 7, 2015 at his residence. Born in Brunswick, Georgia on 9, 1934, a son of the late Mary and C. Downing Tait, Sr. Jack proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired as Virginia State Trooper, after 32 years of service. He greatly enjoyed wood working, fishing, and tinkering with computers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, C. Downing Tait, Jr. and James Spottiswood Tait. During WWII, Mr. Tait proudly served his country in the US Army Air Services.
