Obituary: Dale Dorius Thomas 1931 – 2011 Our beloved husband, father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and brother: Dale Dorius Thomas passed away peacefully on 3, 2011 at the Beehive in West Jordan, Utah. He was born in Salt Lake City on 13, 1931 to Tal and Alta Dorius Thomas. He later grew up in Pleasant Grove Utah and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School where he served as their Student Body President and lettered in Basketball and Track. Upon returning home from his service in the Northern States Mission he married his High School Sweetheart Carol Christensen on 24, 1953 in the Salt Lake Temple. have been sweethearts ever since. He was very active with volunteer work in the community. In their early years he volunteered evenings as an Auxiliary Policeman while living in Pleasant Grove. In doing so he provided many on-call hours, helping to provide ambulance service for the community. He was a Licensed Abstractor and retired from Provo Land Title. He was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings over the years. His family was his greatest joy. Dale will be sorely missed by his loving and caring sweetheart, wife, Carol of 58 years. He is also survived by his son Steven Dale Thomas (Teresa), his daughter, Denise Marie Thomas, his sisters, Mary Lee Thomas and Joyce Thomas, Grandchildren: Emilie Nixon (Marcus), Shawn Steven Thomas (Pam), and Annette Beckstrand (Joshua); Great Grandchildren: Branden Nixon, Anthony Nixon, Jackson Thomas, Hailie Beckstrand and Parker Beckstrand. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three children, Terry, Lorene and John Thomas. He will be missed by all. services will be , 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Walker-Sanderson , 646 E. 800 North in Orem. Obituary: Chris Len Thomas Chris Len Thomas, loving husband, father, and grandpa was called home to his Father in Heaven 24, 2007. He was born 19, 1954 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Len B. (Bud) Thomas and Lillian Lorae Neil Thomas. At a young age Chris moved with his family to Payson Utah where he attended Payson High School and where he spent many happy years raising his family and cultivating friendships. Chris was a man with many talents and gifts. During the thirty years that he worked at Geneva Steel he somehow found time to build a beautiful home and to start his own custom furniture business which he enjoyed very much. He also spent time working at Zions Builders and most recently at IM Flash as a construction auditor. Chris won the heart of his eternal sweetheart, Bonnie Greenhalgh at Payson High School. were married on 18, 1973 and their marriage was solemnized 26, 1980 in the Manti L.D.S Temple. Bonnie was the love of his life and they spent thirty three wonderful years together. have been best friends since the day they met and desired to spend every possible moment together. Chris was always happiest with Bonnie by his side. He loved and cared for her with all of his heart. Chris began entertaining with his guitar and voice as a young boy. Whether he was playing with his High School Rock n Roll band, singing country songs around the campfire or performing at events throughout the community Chris was able to share his gift with countless people. He lived his life in selfless service. Chris was eternally devoted to the Lord, his wife, his family, friends, and the Mtn. View 4th Ward in which he has served as Bishop for the past four years. He had a remarkable gift for friendship and was blessed with a vast network of friends and family whom he loved dearly. Chris was a wonderful father who dedicated his life to his family. He worked hard his entire life to insure that the needs of his family were always met. He lived his life as an example and a pillar of strength to his children. will miss him immensely. He felt blessed to have eleven grandchildren of whom he was very proud. He had a special relationship with each one of them and loved to play with them all. Grandpas adventures, humor, and stories will be greatly missed. Chris was preceded in death by his father Len B. (Bud) Thomas and survived by his loving wife Bonnie, their four children Jacob Len (Karen); Spanish Fork, Abby Anderson (Zackery); Highland, Hayes Roy (Lisa); Pleasant Grove, Alida Mathewson (Michael); Heber City, His eleven grandchildren Justus, Victoria, Adrianna, Ezekiel, Garrison, William, Isabelle, Scout, Emma, and Taylor, His mother Lorae Thomas; Payson, Brother Andre (Heather); Missouri, Sister Stacy Greenhalgh (Kirk); Santaquin, father and mother-in-law Doug and Shirley Smith (Lehi), and many other friends and family who loved him dearly. A viewing will be held 28th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson. There will also be a viewing held at 9:45 to 10:45 A.M. prior to the funeral services which will be held on 1, 2007,11:00 A.M,. at the Payson Mountain View Stake 75 S. 600 E. Payson. Obituary: Carol Christensen Thomas 1932 – 2014 Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Carol Christensen Thomas passed away peacefully on 11, 2014 at the Carrington Court in South Jordan, Utah. She was born in Orem, Utah on 19, 1932 to Eartmann H. and Lorene Vance Christensen at their home in the Orem Railroad Station where her father worked as Station Agent. At the age of 3, Carols mother Lorene passed away. Her father remarried Bernice Vance Partridge Christensen. Eventually the family moved to Pleasant Grove where Carol met her high school sweetheart Dale Dorius Thomas. Carol was on the high school track team and drill team. Dale and Carol were married 24, 1953 in the Salt Lake Temple. have been sweethearts ever since and are now enjoying a fond reunion with each other, their children, family, and friends. Carols greatest joy was her family. Her home was always a gathering place for family and friends. As her family grew, she worked at American Fork Hospital in the newborn nursery, at Levens as a seamstress, and at Mountain Fuel Supply (Questar) as a home economist and executive secretary retiring after 25 years of service. She served as the President of the Executive Womens Association and sang with the Sweet Adeline Barbershop Group in Utah . Carol was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings over the years. A highlight in her life was serving as a Service Missionary at the Missionary Training in Provo, Utah. She is survived by her children Steven Dale Thomas (Teresa), Denise Marie Thomas, grandchildren: Emilie Nixon (Marcus), Shawn Steven Thomas (Pam), Annette Beckstrand (Joshua); great-grandchildren: Branden Nixon, Anthony Nixon, Preston Nixon, Jackson Thomas, Brooke Thomas, Hailie Beckstrand, Parker Beckstrand, Chloe Beckstrand, Connor Beckstrand; and brothers David A. Christensen and Jan C. Christiansen. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Coriene and Bonnie, brother Dean, her loving husband Dale, and children Terry, Lorene, and John Thomas.
