Obituary: Surrounded by her family, Virginia (Ginny) H. Trawick, age 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior on , 21. She was born on 22, 1933 in Brownwood, Texas to Dr. Roy G. and Virginia Adele Hallum. She graduated from the University of Texas (Austin) in 1954 with a Bachelors Degree in Bacteriology. While at the University she was elected to the Mortar Board and to Alpha Lambda Delta (Freshman Honorary). She was active in the League of Women Voters and the YMCA. She was President of Zeta Tau Alpha, the Orange Jackets and the Reagan Literary Society. She was elected Outstanding Student in the 1953 Cactus. She has been an active member of Coker United Methodist Church since 1970 and served on the staff as Membership Coordinator for many years. Ginny also served as a Stephens Minister, School Teacher and sang in the Chancel Choir. She has been an active member and past president of PEO (Philanthropic Educational Organization). She is survived by her childhood sweetheart and husband of 59 years, Jack D. Trawick; son, Rev. Dr. J. David Trawick and wife, Jill; daughter, Virginia Adele Condreay and husband, Dave; and son, Roy Hallum Trawick, M.D. and wife, Natalie; and nine grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend and will be missed by all. We look forward to being with her again when we go to be with Jesus. The family wishes to express its sincere appreciation to Mindy Fuller, Lulu Resales and all of the other personnel of Embrace Hospice for their compassionate and loving care of Ginny during her final weeks. Obituary: Pauline Trawick was born in Wood , Texas on 20, 1924 to Thomas Spigener and Cora Gunn Spigener. Pauline went home to the Lord on 13, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Vernon Trawick, brothers Alfred, Edward, Coy and W.T., sisters Ruby, Arlene & Janice. Left with fond memories to cherish are son Bill Douglas & wife Lynell, daughter Sylvia Rocha, sister Faye Stom, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter Lena. Pauline had a big heart and a charitable nature. She was always there to lend a helping hand. She was a Christian who faithfully served the Lord, her church and her family. She was an Adult School teacher for many years. She loved plants and enjoyed gardening. She also enjoyed crocheting and reading Christian novels and literature. Pauline once won The Adult Regional Spelling Bee and was recognized in area news papers and other media for her accomplishment. Pauline was loved very much and will be greatly missed. |

Obituary: William Charles Papa Traweek 31, 1928 - 15, 2014 William Charles (Bill) Traweek formerly of Denison went to be with his Almighty Lord and Savior after a courageous battle with cancer. Bill, fondly referred to as Papa was born in Selma, Alabama to the late Jackson Bernard Traweek and Mattie McKnight Traweek of Forrest , Alabama. Papa is survived by his loving bride of 54 years, Patricia A. Traweek, daughter and son in law Debbie and John Little of Denison, Texas, son and daughter in law Darryl and Marta Traweek of Austin, Texas, son and daughter in law Don and Lori Traweek of Seabrook, Texas. He is also survived by his sister Carolyn Helen. He is preceded in death by his sister Sally Sellers and brother James Traweek. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were precious to him. Grandchildren: Courtney Traweek Rau (husband Stewart) and Austin Traweek of Houston, Nick Traweek (wife Brittainy) of Katy, Texas and Jenna Traweek McDonald (husband James) of Houston, Lori Little Whitley (husband Jason) of Denison and John David Little (wife Michelle) of Colbert, Oklahoma. He has four great-grandchildren Tyler, Tana, and Trinity of Denison, Jaryn of Colbert and Liam of Katy. He also was fortunate enough to have many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews all of whom he loved and cherished so very much. Bill graduated Port St. Joe High School in 1948 as a three-sport letterman in baseball, football and basketball. He attended Vanderbilt University. Following his college days he bravely served his country during the Korean War as a Staff Sergeant in the US Air Force and was Honorably Discharged in 1952. In 1954 he came to Wichita Falls, Texas for a short visit with his sister, Sally. While there, he went to work for the Missouri Kansas Texas railroad (Katy) as a Switchman. Shortly thereafter he met the love of his life, Patricia, on a blind date, and they remained inseparable for 54 wonderful years. He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad (formerly Katy Railroad) in 1991 after 37 years of loyal service. Bill was a bright and witty man who portrayed an enormous positive attitude. He was also extremely strong in his faith. He believed in God with all his heart and loved singing by making a joyful noise unto the Lord. He also loved the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys and The University of Texas Longhorns. One of the many highlights of his life was attending two World Series games, where he watched his beloved Texas Rangers. His positive attitude was contagious! One of his favorite sayings was if you wake up in the morning, then you have a chance. He never met a stranger; in fact while attending a UT/Texas A&M football game in Austin, he was asked by a Secret Service agent to step aside for the President of the United States. In his natural way, Papa stepped in front of the former President George H.W. Bush and said Hello Mr. Bush! The two spoke for a few minutes as if they were childhood friends. He always believed there was no such thing as quitting, and he lived that very thought to his last breath. He always took it upon himself to make people feel better, and he never had a mean word to say. He always had a new joke to tell; those famous Papa-isms will remain in our hearts and minds forever. Bill, Uncle Bill, Dad, Papa, Pop was a Great Man and a tremendous influence on so many people; this world is a much sadder place without him. He will be very deeply missed. Visitation will be held 19, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 pm and services on , 20, 2014. Both visitation and services will be held at Bratcher , 401 W. Woodard in Denison, Texas. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or a Youth Charity of your choice. |
