Obituary: Joined our Lord on 4, 2015 at the age of 80 in Harker Heights, Texas. Olga was born on 26, 1935 in New Iberia, Louisiana. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Wilfred Daily and one sister. Olga was a devoted Religious education director at St. Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church in Harker Heights and a Religious education teacher at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Killeen. She was also a member of the Ladies of Charity of Harker Heights and a former cook with KISD at Ellison High School. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Jean L. Touchet Sr., sons and daughters-in law; Jean L. Touchet Jr. and Dorothea, David W. Touchet and Tina, Jerry P. Touchet and Sally and Daniel E. Touchet and Christy. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one brother Dale Paul Guillot; all of whom will miss her dearly. Guests may call upon the Touchet family for a time of visitation on , 12, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Crawford-Bowers Killeen. A Rosary will be recited at 7 PM. services will be held on , 13, 2015 at 11 AM with a Holy Mass of Resurrection at St. Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church. Obituary: FORT WORTH -- Frances Jean Queen Touby, 88, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away , May 22, 2015. Service: 10 a.m. , 1, in Main Post Chapel, Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, with visitation prior to the service. Interment: Fort Sam Houston National . Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. at Laurel Land in Fort Worth. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Thornville United Methodist Church, Box 253, Thornville, Ohio 43076; or Trinity United Methodist Church, 6800 Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas 78240. Mrs. Touby was born in Columbus, Ohio, on Oct. 12, 1926, and attended public schools through high school. She completed undergraduate work at Otterbein in Westerville, Ohio, where she earned a BA in history and social studies with a minor in English, and obtained a secondary teaching certificate in those subjects. On May 7, 1945, she married Lt. Robert H. Touby and began life in the Air Force, which allowed their family to travel the world. The intervening years were busy and interesting, each move a new adventure. In every city, from Karamursel, Turkey, to Fort Worth, Mrs. Touby filled her days with purpose, thanks to her many volunteer activities that took advantage of her teacher training. She taught in church schools and youth fellowships, was involved for nearly 20 years in Girl Scouts and held positions of leadership in church women's groups and Air Force Wives' Clubs. She was a docent at the Bishop Museum in Honolulu and, later, the Institute of Texan Cultures in San Antonio. Mrs. Touby obtained her MA in education with a reading specialist's certificate in 1985 (University of Texas-San Antonio) and was a reading specialist at Winston School. In addition, she directed and taught at a volunteer remedial reading program in San Antonio. Neither Mrs. Touby nor "Bob," as Mrs. Touby affectionately called her husband, were ever content to sit still. In their retirement, they threw themselves into their church, volunteered at the Institute of Texan Cultures and enjoyed their daughters and grandchildren. Finally, Col. and Mrs. T embarked on one last adventure together, restoring the beautiful old family lake house in Ohio that her Bob loved so much. Prior to his passing in 2010, they spent many happy seasons there, not far from the town where they first met. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, retired U.S. Air Force Col. Robert H. Touby, in 2010. Survivors: Daughters, Jean Touby and Gail Johnstone; son-in-law, Whit Johnstone; grandchildren, Jeff Toler, Lisa Toler Huff-Gilliland, Whit Johnstone Jr. and Elizabeth Johnstone; and great-grandchildren, Bryce Toler, Bourke Toler, Megan Huff and Madeline Huff. |
