Obituary: Cloys Glynn Tolbert, 77, of White Oak passed away on 6, 2014 at his residence. He was born on 13, 1937 in Kilgore to Eugene and Beulah nix Tolbert. He grew up in Kilgore and graduated from Kilgore High School in 1954. He continued his education at Kilgore and Texas A & M before going into the United States Army. his service, he returned to Kilgore and married Peggy Ethridge on 24, 1966. He was a former committee member on the White Oak Planning and Zoning Committee and a member of the White Oak Lions Club. Those who knew him know that he always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger. He loved playing golf, visiting with friends, working and staying busy. He was a good husband, a great dad to his children, and an awesome papaw to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. What gives our family solace now is that he is no longer confined to a wheelchair and that he is probably looking down on us now from the greenest golf course in the sky. He is survived by his wife, Peggy L. Tolbert of White Oak; children: Sharon Malmgren and her husband Mitch of White Oak, Randy Chapman and his wife Debbie of Lake Devernia, and Jenny Davis and her fiancé, Ronny Ross of White Oak; grandchildren: Shawn Braley of White Oak, Dennis Balogh and his wife Ashley of Elysian Fields, Dylan Stone of White Oak, and Tanner Davis of White Oak; six great grandchildren; sister: Tina Ruthford of Kilgore as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents; son: Kenny Chapman; and sisters: Carole Ware and Wanda King. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m., , 9, 2014 at Lakeview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Lakeview . |

Obituary: Chiquita Ray Tolbert, 93, passed away on 11, 2011. She was born 31, 1917, in Fairview, Oklahoma, to the late Mayme and Bert Mitchell. She was a Catholic and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She and her husband, Jesse Tolbert, opened the Dairy Treet in Victoria in 1955 and were owners until Jesses death in 1995. spent most of their retirement years traveling, being "rock-hounds," and making jewelry. She enjoyed fishing, swimming, hunting, sewing, playing the piano, and being our beloved "Grandma T" to her family and friends. One of her greatest joys was praying the rosary with her " Night Prayer Group" for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother, Bobby D. Mitchell. She is survived by her son, Richard B. Tolbert, and daughters, Peggy Howard (husband Bill Howard) and Nancy Tolbert Denison. Her grandchildren are Richard A. Tolbert of Edmond, Okla., Matt Tolbert (wife Ginger) of Austin, Angela Hughes (husband Joe) of Sunrise Beach, Jay Howard (wife Annette), Christy Uresti (husband Patrick), Jess Howard (wife Dana), and Lisa Lively (husband Matt), all of Victoria, and Brad Denison of Kerrville. She also has 22 great-grandchildren: Christian, Avery and Austin Tolbert; Toby and Thomas Tolbert; Stephanie, Kaitlyn, Travis, and Steven Hughes; Marian, Sam, John and Clare Howard; Jack, Grayson, William, and Vivian Howard; Jessica and Gennavieve Uresti; Mason, Andrew, and Luke Lively. She was a member of the Victoria Gem and Mineral Society, Catholic Daughters, Court of St. Ann # 369, Texas Restaurant Association, and Mid-Coast Sportsman Association. The family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to her devoted caregivers Diane Olvera and Monica Garcia, as well as the assistance of Neecy Hall. Obituary: James r Tolar, devoted husband and father of five, went to be with the Lord on , 23, 2015, after celebrating his 79th birthday on at M.D. Anderson Cancer . A career electrical engineer, ham radio fanatic, lifetime lover of cats, and enthusiastic scuba instructor, Jim enriched the lives of so many fortunate enough to have known him and claim him as family. He was born on 20, 1936, to r and Doris Sayer Tolar in Stamford, Texas. Jim attended elementary through high school in Orange, Texas, graduating from Lutcher Stark High School in 1954. He was a cadet in the Civil Air Patrol and served in the United States Air Force. He acquired his ham radio license while still in high school and built his own transmitting equipment, continuing to develop his operational skills throughout his life. He attended the University of Texas, studying electrical engineering and ultimately receiving certification as a professional engineer. Jim was employed by several petroleum companies both in the US and overseas. On 11, 1977, he married Carol Wong. Jim and Carol enjoyed traveling together as well as spending time with family, especially their grandchildren, and their many friends. All who knew Jim could attest to his faith in The Lord and that his love, devotion, and care for his family was ever foremost in both thought and action.
