Obituary: Paul David Thompson was born in Waco, Texas, to Paul Thompson and Mildred Nicholson Thompson on 6, 1940. He graduated from Riesel High School in Riesel, Texas. David Attended Abilene Christian University and graduated from Texas A&M University in Kingsville, Texas. He served in the United States Air Force. David worked for Texas Parks & Wildlife Department as a Park Superintendent at Stephen F. Austin and Davis Mountains State Parks. He was Regional Director and then Head of Operations and Maintenance for the state parks in the southern half of Texas. David was then a wire rope representative, retiring from Williamsport Wire Rope. Davids choice was always to be outdoors: fishing, hunting, hiking, or working in the yard. Only worship and church responsibilities superseded these activities. David is survived by his wife Sheryl Freeze Thompson and their two children and families; Alexia Young (son-in-law), Erin Marlie Young, Barrett David Young, Justin Ray Thompson, Susan Montgomery Thompson (daughter-in-law), Leah Danielle Thompson, Griffin Ridgeway Thompson; sister, Mary Ann Thompson Rivera, her husband Derly Rivera, and their children Lauren Rivera Jahnke (husband Bob), and Greg Rivera (wife Joanie and three children) all live in Austin, Texas. his death 21, 2017, Paul David Thompsons body was buried in Austin, Texas, on 24, 2017.
