Obituary: Weldon Wendell Taylor, beloved husband of Edna Earle (Perry) Taylor, was called out of this life on 15, 2011. He was born 8, 1923 in Briggs, Texas. Weldon was a fourth generation Burnet resident. His forbears settled on the prairie at Gum Springs which became known as Taylors Gin, and later became Briggs, Texas. Weldon joined the army at age 18 and fought in the American Theatre Campaign in World War II. Among the medals he received were the Bronze Star and Purple Heart for wounds received at the Battle of the Bulge. He was in the wholesale gasoline business with his brother, Curtis Taylor, for almost 30 years in Ft. Stockton, Texas before moving to the Marble Falls area in 1983. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Marble Falls. Weldons survivors include his wife of 69 years, Edna Earle Taylor; daughter, LaJuan Lou Burriss and husband, George, of Marble Falls and son Phil Taylor, and wife, Mary Kay, of Anchorage, Alaska. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Moab and Eva Taylor; son, Dr. Jim Taylor, and nine brothers and sisters. service will be , 18, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Clements-Wilcox , Marble Falls. Graveside service will be at 4:30 PM at Andice , Andice, Texas. Pallbearers will be grandsons, David Burriss, Joe Swynnerton, Eli Burriss, Jeremy Taylor, Brit Davis and great grandsons, Tim Burriss and Pfc. Daniel Burriss,U.S.M.C. Obituary: Waylon Andrew Taylor age 38, of Belton passed away , 22, 2010 in Salado, Texas. He was born 31, 1971 in Newport News, VA to Bobby Wayne Taylor and Connie Wise Taylor. He was raised in Killeen and attended Killeen High School later graduating from Temple High School. He enjoyed baseball, model cars and motorcycles. He was a member of the Future Farmers of America. He was a mechanic by trade and just returned from Iraq where he worked for five years. Waylon was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Wayne Taylor in of 2007. Waylon is survived by his son, Cole Taylor of Salado; a daughter, Sydney Layne Taylor of Salado; his mother Connie Wise Taylor of Belton; a brother, Kevin Wayne Taylor of Belton; his grandmothers, Bessie Lee Wise of Killeen and Rowena Cox of Killeen. Private family graveside services will be held on at Bee House in Bee House, Texas. For those that desire the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice. Obituary: Walter H. Taylor, 89, passed away peacefully in his sleep on , Jan. 19, 2014, in Fort Worth. : 2 p.m. at Shannon Rose Hill Chapel. Walter was born on May 4, 1924, in Fort Worth to Henry Kirby and Ethel Mae Taylor. He served his country from 1942 to 1946 in the North Atlantic as a signalman second class in the U.S. Navy. The traditional outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and cooking. Walter loved the game of golf and had won some golfing tournaments in his time. He will be dearly missed. Walter was preceded in passing by his parents and his wife, Georgia Taylor. Survivors: Children, Kirby Taylor, Vicki Hunter and Janie Taylor; grandchildren, Ricky, Danny, Deann, Tricia and Tiffany; and four great-grandchildren. |
