Obituary: Mark Patrick Taylor, age 63, passed away on , 29, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on 21, 1950 in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, to Nelson Wayne and Rita Taylor. Mark graduated from Robert Lee High School in San Antonio in 1969. He spent two years in the United States Marine Corps and served a tour of duty in Viet Nam. While serving his country, he earned the National Defense Medal, the Vietnam Service medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Mark earned an associate of Applied Science degree from San Antonio in Fire Science. He began his career with the Olmos Park Fire Department and went on to serve thirty years in the San Antonio Fire Department. Mark was excited to go to work each shift. It was not just a job, but a passion. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mark is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Christy Taylor; son, Kevin Wayne Taylor and wife, Megan; daughters, Melissa Taylor Israel and husband, Tom, and Kara Taylor Harrison; grandchildren: Brylee Taylor, Taylor and Chloe Israel, Madilynn, Kinley and Maci Harrison; sisters, Sheila Taylor and husband, Walter Kennedy, Kathleen Hall and husband, Steve; brother, Brian Taylor and wife, Becky; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Obituary: Marianna Maree Taylor (Mari), 46 of Fort Worth Texas, lost her three year battle with ovarian cancer and went to heaven on 19, 2013. Mari was born in Channelview, Texas on 30, 1966 to Kenneth and Marietta Taylor. Her life partner is Robin Cagle. Mari was a graduate of Baylor University where she received a degree in Education. She taught in public schools for 20 years and retired as the Director of The Tarrant Womens Adult Literacy Program in of 2011. Mari was passionate about making a difference to others and to her community. She was very active in the Fort Worth GLBT community. Mari was a member of the Fort Worth Chapter of the Texas Gay Rodeo Association and Tarrant Gay Pride. Mari loved to produce and participate in events raising monies for charities in need. One of her favorite charities was the Baron House at Celebration Community Church where she was an active member. Mari loved to lift her voice in song and inspire us all. Mari loved to make warming blankets for others who were also battling cancer. Another love of Maris was traveling to various International Gay Rodeos across the United States and Canada. Traveling to, seeing and supporting her rodeo family, especially the Crazy ole Heffas, was one of Maris greatest passions in life. Mari was known as fireworks heffa. Mari is survived by her Life Partner Robin Cagle; Mother and Father Marietta and Kenneth Taylor of Crosby, Texas; Brother and Sister in Law Kent and Sheila Taylor of Crosby, Texas and their sons Brandon and Bryan; Sister and Brother in Law Monica and Rodney Foster of Crosby, Texas and their children Grace and Grant.
