She was born on May 8, 1927 in Cowden, Oklahoma to the late William Wheeler and Willie Belle King Pitt. She was a member of the University Church of Christ and a licensed vocational nurse. She loved quilting, painting and playing dominoes. She is survived by her daughters, Sue Whitworth, Jane Cross and Debra Martin and husband Allen; son, Bill Taylor and wife JoAnn all of Tyler; sister, Dena Fay Kinder of Carnegie, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband J. D. Taylor; 2 sisters and 2 brothers. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00pm on at the funeral home. |

Obituary: Forrest Harold Taylor, age 91, of San Antonio, died peacefully on , 10, 2003 at Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital in San Antonio. The youngest of eight children born to John and Minnie Shearer Taylor, he was born 4, 1911 in Emerson, Iowa. On 21, 1937, in St. Louis, Missouri, he married Elizabeth Owen Hawker, who preceded him in death on 2, 1997. He was also preceded in death by his three brothers, Lawrence Robert Taylor, Merritt Whitman Taylor, and Maurice Shearer Taylor; and his four sisters, Dr. Ruth Elaine Taylor, Agnes Maude Taylor Fowler, Ada Blanche Taylor and Marjorie Grace Taylor Swan. Surviving Mr. Taylor are his son, Wayne Lee Taylor and his wife, Michelle, of Velarde, New Mexico; their children Christopher Todd Taylor, Pamela Suzanne Taylor, and Alixandra Natalia Lyon-Bramhall; his son, James Whitman Taylor and his wife, Gladys, of Houston, Texas; their children Kimberly Elizabeth Taylor Barton and her husband Paul Edwin Barton of Dallas, Jeffrey Wayne Taylor of Houston, and Paul Lavigne Taylor and his wife Rachel Marie Taylor of Dallas; and two great-grandchildren Samuel Paul Barton and Eliana Marie Taylor, both of Dallas; and their daughter, Patricia Ann Taylor, of San Antonio and her friend Avis F. Moore. Also surviving Mr. Taylor are his special friend, Kae Billik of the Meadows Retirement Community, many loving friends and extended family and a family of faith at Coker UMC. Mr. Taylor was raised in Emerson, Iowa and in of 1932 graduated from the University of Iowa in Iowa City with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Commerce, Economics, and Sociology. He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa national undergraduate honors organization and Order of Artus national economics honors organization. graduation from college, Mr. Taylor moved to St. Louis, where he was employed in the personnel field. In 1958, he became a personnel consultant specializing in executive recruitment and in 1976 established his own firm Â- Bicentennial Personnel Consultants. Mr. Taylor lived for 35 years near Troy, Missouri where he enjoyed raising quarter horses. He was active in Rotary International in both St. Louis and Troy and was a Paul Harris Fellow. In 2000, he moved to the MeadowÂs Retirement in San Antonio, Texas, a part of Morningside Ministries. He was a member of Coker United Methodist Church and the John Wesley School class until his health prevented participation. |

Obituary: Fletcher F. Taylor Jr., 95, of Dallas, TX, passed away on , 31, 2012 at Community Hospice of Fort Worth. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and kind, giving personality. He was born on May 3, 1917 to the late Fletcher Floyd Taylor Sr. and Katie E. Jones Taylor in Dallas, TX on a family-owned farm which is now Love Field. He was a descendant of a Confederate soldier and his grandmother was a Bachman, one of the first families to settle in the Dallas area. He joined the US Army Air Corps in 1940 where he served in the China-Burma-India Theater. Survivors include his daughter, Linda Mari of Dallas, son, David Taylor and his wife, Sammie of Euless, grandchildren Stefani Thornhill and husband Sam and great-granddaughter Sara of Lewisville, grandson Chad Taylor, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Marjorie Wallace Taylor in 2007. Special thanks to Parsons House Preston Hollow for their diligent care and support of Fletcher during his stay with them. Visitation will be held on , 4, 2012 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Sparkman-Hillcrest , 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX. Services will be held on 6, 2012 at 10:00 am at Cochran Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Dallas/Ft. Worth National , 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX. Mr. Taylor went home to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ, on , May 5th. Finice was born on 4, 1926 in Shamrock, TX to William and Hattie Taylor. He graduated from TSD in Austin, in 1949. He married Juanita J. Morris in Clovis, NM, on Sept 19, 1953. He began harvesting wheat, and worked as a baker with Mrs. Bairds, and later as a sheet metal worker with Armstrong Mechanical. He was a member of Oakwood Baptist Deaf Church and active with LCSD. Survivors include his wife, Juanita of Lubbock, and one brother, Ronald Taylor of Canyon, TX.
