Obituary: Betty Taylor, age 83, left her earthly home in Kingwood, Texas, to be with her Lord in Heaven on , 3, 2016. The daughter of Dorothy and Bryan Boswell was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. While attending Texas State for Women in Denton, TX she met her Texas A&M Aggie husband on a blind date in Station. two years, Carter & Betty were happily married on 20, 1952. Carter served in the US Air Force, they settled in Groves, Texas where they raised their family. Betty was amazingly talented and creative. She was an accomplished artist, specializing in watercolor and oil painting. She also sewed clothing for her 3 daughters and herself. Betty had the gift of hospitality with her love of cooking and of people. Her greatest calling was teaching Gods Word in Community Bible Study, School and Joy of Living Bible Study for over 45 years. Betty was a fervent prayer warrior for all of her family and friends and in her later years, the Lord gave her 20 songs to sing and share with others. Betty is survived by her loving husband and soul-mate, Carter; three daughters, Pam Taylor-Glass and her husband David, Rhonda Rife and her husband Ronald, all from Spring, and Brenda Lundberg and her husband David from Humble; four grandchildren, Taylor Rife and his wife Alicia, Carter Rife, Landon Lundberg and his wife Lauren, and Reid Lundberg. Betty is also survived by her sister Carolyn Campbell and husband Ross of Memphis, Tennessee. A visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on , 7, 2016 at Kingwood , 22800 Highway 59 North Kingwood, Texas 77339. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am on , 8, 2016 at Second Baptist Church, 22270 Highway 59 North Kingwood, Texas 77339. Betty was born 18, 1927 in Bonham, Texas to Allen R. and Edna L. (Tarpley) Watson. She married Orval Lee Taylor in 1946. She worked for several years at EZ Grocery, worked in the cafeteria at Crocket Elementary School, and also worked as a sales clerk at Gibsons Discount . She was an excellent cook and seamstress, but her greatest accomplishment was being a homemaker and Mama to her five children. Betty is preceded in death by her husband; parents; one daughter, Pamela Sutton; twin brother, Bennie Jean Watson; and brothers, Floyd Leo Watson, Allen Ray Watson, and Arvil Ardell Watson. Obituary: Bettie Taylor was born on 19, 1943, in Baytown, Texas to the late Ivan R. Arnett of Round Rock, Texas and the late Marie Hayes of Barbers Hill, Texas. She grew up in Mont Belvieu, lived in Houston for many years, and later moved to Katy. She married her beloved spouse of 47 years, Donald L. Taylor, on 2, 1967. She attended Sam Houston State University, graduating in only 3 years with a BBA degree in Accounting, the first woman there to earn that degree. She began her career at Zapata Offshore Drilling and then continued at Shell Oil. She retired from Southwestern Bell in 1992, having worked there for 18 years. Bettie and Don always loved to travel, particularly in their retirement. traveled all over the United States and to many European countries, plus Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and the Caribbean; but her favorite destinations were easily Bermuda, the Grand Canyon and the Redwood Forest. Bettie went to be with the Lord on the 4th of May, 2015. She will always be remembered as being a loving, thoughtful, and kind mom, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her loving husband, Don, and thier son, Dr. Chad Benjamin Taylor; her step-mother Ann Arnett; sisters, Bobbie Ruth McBrayer, Nancy McNabb and Walter Jenkins, and Robyne Carroll and husband Tim; brother, Glynn Jackson; sister-in-law, Sylvia Taylor; aunts, Sylvia Avant and husband Arnold, Joyce Barclay and husband Maurice, and Joy Onstott and husband Delbert; nieces and nephews, Christianne Gentile and husband Scott Patrick, Cassandra McBrayer, Cher McBrayer, Mandi Alexandra Nehring and husband Karl, Tamara Ross and husband Craig, Tom McNabb, Tim McNabb and wife Sarah, Tanya Fernandez and husband Herman, Lauryn Filip and husband Kevin, Joseph Carroll, Paula Jean Evans, Melissa Evans, Richard Evans and wife Gwain, Robert Taylor and wife Leslie, Sally Taylor, Nancy White, Mike Taylor, Suzanne Taylor and wife Julie Rieger, Jane-Ellen George and husband Biju; and many great-nieces, nephews and dear friends.
