Obituary: Cynthia Marie Townsend, age 44, went to join the Lord on 17, 2015. Cynthia lived a full joyful life, even as she struggled with numerous disabilities, both medical and developmental. Cynthia graduated from Stratford High School in Nashville, TN in 1993. She worked for the Rochelle for fifteen years, until she announced she was retiring in 2007, like her dad did in 2004. Everyone that knew Cindy loved her, and was honored to know that she loved them too. Cindy loved bowling, playing her tablet, football, and her main love, WWE wrestling. Cynthia is preceded in death by grandparents, Buford W. and Elizabeth B. Townsend, and Mary A. Beckham; aunt, Elizabeth James Townsend; very special first cousin, Mary Earlene Danner; step-grandfather, Richard Knipfer; and uncle, Ernest Sanders. Cynthia is survived by mother, Mary (Frankie) Townsend of LaVergne, TN; father, Johnny B. Townsend, Sr. and brother, Johnny B. Townsend, Jr. of Hermitage, TN; aunt, Jean and uncle, Robert (Fat Dan) Coble of Old Hickory, TN; uncles, Lloyd and Glenn (Sandy), Jimmy (Sue) of Newport, TN; aunt, Pat and uncle, Herb Walker of San Antonio, TX; uncle, Billy and aunt, Tammy Heyward of Newark, OH; aunt, Ruth (Roo) and uncle, John Campbell of Fairfield Glade, TN; uncles, William and Neal Beckham of LaVergne, TN; Charles (Robyn) of Florida and aunt, Shirley Beckham of Madison. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to her caregiver and best friend for almost seventeen years, Marie Turnmyre; and others that brought much to her life, including Ms. Betty Blackwood, for her 15 years of dedication and service; former director of CCO, Inc., Mr. Noel Presley; and present director of CCO, Inc., Ms. Kathy Harding. CCO was the supported living agency that has been Cynthia’s residential support since 2000. The family would also like to recognize some special people for the friendship and love they shared with Cindy, Ms. Loretta Scroggins of Bon Aqua, Ms. E. J. Monroe for never saying “no”, Ms. Glenda Chrismane and Mr. James Thomas, all of Nashville, TN.
