Obituary: Cheryl L. Thomas, 52 of Rockton, passed away , 11, 2011 at DuBois Regional Medical . She was the loving wife of Leslie Thomas of Rockton, who she married 22, 1983. Born on 7, 1959 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Francis Mooney and Helen(Shimmel) who survives. She was a graduate of DuBois Area High School and worked for Valley Dairy Restaurant. Cheryl was a member of Clearfield Church of Nazarene. She enjoyed teaching School, playing with her grandkids and spending time with her family. Surviving is her loving husband, mother, three sons; Rev Robert Thomas of Clearfield, Jason Mooney of Louisville, KT and Steven Mooney of Tallahassee, FL. Also survived by two brothers: Howard Mooney of Meadville, PA and Richard Mooney of Falls Creek, PA; two sisters: Barb Brownell of Dubois and Janet Simbeck of DuBois. She is preceded in death by her father, two brothers: William and Mark Mooney and one sister Shirley Austin. A funeral service will be held , 14, 2011 at Mohney-Yargar Chapel, DuBois, PA at 11:00AM with Pastor Scott Schultz officiating. Friends will be received at the Mohney-Yargar Chapel, on , 13, 2011 from 2 to 4PM and 7 to 9PM. An additional viewing will be held on morning at 10AM until the time of service. Obituary: Charlotte G. Thomas died on , 25, 2015 at Anns Choice in Warminster, PA. Born in Pittsburg, PA; she was the daughter of the late Mowry E. and Elvira Davis Goetz. Her lifelong love of nature led her to Carleton , in Northfield, MN, receiving a degree in natural science, which served her in later years as an active member of the Upper Moreland Parks and Recreation Board where she advocated for the preservation of natural areas in the parks. She loved sharing her knowledge with young people as a Girl Scout leader of Troop 784. An early advocate of organic gardening, she maintained a productive garden throughout her residence in Willow Grove. Charlotte was the beloved wife of Theodore K. Thomas for 59 years before his death in 2011. Both were active volunteers and supporters of the Pennypack Watershed Association and Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, after retiring to the Island of Chincoteague VA. She was a former employee of Strawbridge & Clothier in Jenkintown and the IRS in Philadelphia. She was the devoted mother of Nadine R. Thomas of New York, NY and the late William Thomas, and sister of the late Mowry E. Goetz, Jr Relatives and friends are invited to her memorial service at 11 am on 11 at the Briar Bush Nature , 1212 Edge Hill Rd, Abington, PA 19001.
