Obituary: David W. Titman, 80, of Madison, passed away , 6, 2012, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born 19, 1931 to Harry and Mazie Titman, he lived in Madison most of his life. He married Ruth A. Holcomb on 4, 1955 in Unionville, Ohio. Mr. Titman attended Madison Schools and served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was employed at the Geneva Telephone , Sun Finance Corp, Martin Brothers Boats and spent many years working for Sines & Sons in Perry until he was severely injured in an accident in 1983. He spent the next 29 years defying the odds. Mr. Titman attended the Church of the Blessed Hope of Unionville all of his life and served as Deacon, Elder, Speaker and Official Board member. He helped build the church at 7333 South Ridge and did all of the maintenance until just recently. He had a deep and abiding faith and lived his life by it. He was a man of integrity who valued and supported his family in everything they did. He was the same with his church family and his friends. Dave could fix anything and did, for his family, his friends, and anyone and everyone who needed it. He and his family spent many years camping. In the past several years they enjoyed their summer place in Andover. He also enjoyed fishing trips to Canada, family gatherings, and especially had enjoyed his great-grandchildren the past few years. He will be missed and always held in the hearts of his sons, Mark (Rindia), Brian (Vickie) and Patrick (Monica); his grandchildren, BJ (Melissa), Amanda, Sarah, Cheryl, Hannah, Lindsay and Samantha and his great-grandchildren, Brendon, Brady and Kami. Also his sister, Judy Kurian; nephew, Darryl (Cyndi) Kurian and nieces, Vivien (Bryan) Diamond and Kalina (Arnoldo) Reyes. Mr. Titman was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Ruth; his parents, Harry and Mazie Titman and brother, Robert Titman. A Memorial Visitation will be 2-5 PM, , 22, 2012 at The Behm Family , 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio.
