Obituary: Sr. Sylvia Trottier (Sr. Louis-Pierre), 93, of the Presentation of Mary Sisters, 495 Mammoth Rd., Manchester, NH died May 6, 2002 at her residence. Born in Manchester on 25, 1908, she was the daughter of Edouard and Sarah (Mailhot) Trottier. She entered the congregation of the Presentation of Mary Sisters in 1926, made her first profession in 1928 and made her final profession in 1933. She earned a bachelors degree in education from Rivier , Nashua, NH and a masters degree in chemistry from Catholic University of America. She did post graduate studies at Boston University, the University of Notre Dame, Mount Holyoke and Cornell University. Sr. Trottier taught at St. Benedict School in Cascade, NH from 1938 to 1942. She then was transferred to Rivier where she served until her retirement. She also ministered two years in Exeter, England. She lived in Hudson until 1997, then in Manchester at St. Joseph Residence. During her 51 years at Rivier , she was professor and chair of the chemistry department; an active member of administrative and academic committees; a resident assistant for 15 years; the first director of athletics; coordinator of student social activities and a faculty representative on the Alumni Board. She also served on the New Hampshire State Science Fair Committee. Sr. Trottier was named Faculty Emerita in 1986 by the trustees of Rivier . In 1989, she received the alumni boards highest honor, the Sister Madeleine of Jesus Award. She received an honorary degree of Doctor of Education in 1993. In 1998, the trustees renamed Louis Pasteur Hall and the new addition to the building to Sylvia Trottier Hall.. The family includes four nieces. A mass of Christian burial was celebrated May 8, 2002 pm. in the Resurrection Chapel. Born in Manchester on 9, 1960, he was the son of Louis and Christine (LaChance) Trottier Sr.. He grew up in Pinardville and graduated from Goffstown High School in 1978. He lived in New Boston for the past 15 years. Mr. Trottier was an owner and operator of JTs Body Shop in New Boston for the past 10 years. He enjoyed motorcycles and hiking. He was a talented and creative person who loved spending time with his family. Obituary: William A. (Bill) Trotter, 91, of Nashua, New Hampshire, died on 9, 2015 at St. Joseph Hospital. He was born on 2, 1924 in New York City, son of the late William C. and Margaret (McClosky) Trotter. He was raised in Great Neck and Locust Valley, New York. He was educated in Great Neck and Glen Cove, New York and after graduating high school in 1942 he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and trained as a Bombardier. He completed 35 combat missions, and was an air crew member in B-29 Aircraft in the Pacific Theater of World War II. Among other military decorations, he received the Distinguished Flying Cross. WWII he received a degree in Business Administration from the of the Pacific. He was recalled to active duty for the Korean War and he chose to make a career in the U.S. Air Force. While assigned as an instructor navigator at Plattsburgh Airbase, New York, he met and married Patricia Mullin of Saranac Lake, New York. Upon retirement from active duty as a Lt. Col. U.S. Air Force in 1971, he, Patricia and their three children settled in Nashua. William and Patricia were married for 43 years until Patricia's death from cancer in 1999. William was an active member of the Military Officers Association of America. He was also a member of Immaculate Conception Church. William is lovingly remembered and survived by his son Kevin Trotter of Nashua, two daughters, Kathleen (Kelly) Trotter of Chichester, and Jane (Trotter) Ballou and her husband David Ballou of Milford, grandson Shawn Ballou and his wife Noelle (McKeon) Ballou of Bedford, and granddaughter Samantha Ballou of Milford. William was predeceased by his wife Patricia (Mullin) Trotter, and his brother Douglas Trotter of Stockton, California. Visiting hours were held on , 16, 2015 from 4:00PM-8:00PM in the Zis-Sweeney , 26 Kinsley St., Nashua. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on , 17, 2015 at 10:00AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 216 E. Dunstable Road, Nashua. Obituary: William H. Bill Trott, 89, of Manchester, entered into rest , 15, 2015 at St. Teresa Rehabilitation and after a period of failing health. He was born in Manchester 11, 1926 the son of Clarence and Mary (Hickey) Trott and was a lifelong resident of this city. Bill served in the US Army during World War II and was deployed through England, France and Germany where he aided in the rescue of prisoners held at Dachau. He didn talk much about his experiences during the war but would say, with a solemn face when someone questioned whether the atrocities happened, Tell them these atrocities happened, I was there. I will never understand how anyone could treat human beings that way. Bill loved Manchester and the beauty of New Hampshire. He was an avid electronics technician with the ability to fix anything. His entire life he loved automobiles and repairing them. He also repaired and installed televisions from the forties through the seventies where he made friends with many Manchester residents. He was employed by Motorola/RSL and won the prestigious Service Manager of the Year award from Motorola in Chicago. In the eighties he worked for Public Service Co. in their calibration laboratory, retiring in the early nineties. Bill leaves his wife of 68 years, Joyce (Lefebvre) Trott of Manchester; two daughters, Jacquelyn Gallagher and her husband, James, of Hudson, NH and Stephanie Schehl and her husband, Steve, of Bedford, NH; two grandchildren, Samantha Schehl and Casey Schehl both of Bedford, NH; a sister, Doris Dubois of Manchester; nieces and nephews. The family expresses their love, appreciation and gratitude to the skilled and caring staff of St. Teresa Rehabilitation and for their love and exemplary care shown to Bill over the past several months. Also we are grateful to Merrimack & Hospice staff and volunteers for their expert and loving care. Bill prayed for so many of his family and friends by lighting candles and offering special prayers at the Monastery of the Precious Blood in Manchester. Obituary: William R.Trombly, Sr. 71, of Manchester and Davenport FL passed away 2,2015 at a local healthcare center surrounded by his family after a period of declining health. He was born in Manchester on 23, 1943 the son of the late Frank and Mary (Shea) Trombly. Educated in the local school system, he was a graduate of Central High School, class of 1961. He honorably served in the U S Army. Bill established a very successful business, Bill Trombly Plumbing and Heating . He held membership in numerous professional and civic organizations, among them: National Founder and First Chair of the Quality Service Contractors, founding member of the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Education Foundation, a founder of the Manchester Girls Softball at Derryfield Park in the 70's, past member of St. Joseph School Board, past president JF and Associates Credit Union, past president of NH PHCC, past chairman of NH Plumbing Board, past chairman of NH Heating Advisory Council, chairman of St .Pius X Building Committee, St .Pius X Finance Committee, member Manchester Chamber of Commerce, past member of Manchester Zoning Board and Manchester Planning Board. He was voted New Hampshire Contractor of the Year 1985 and National Delta Faucet Contractor of the Year 1987. Even with all the accolades, he was known to say that his greatest legacy was his wonderful family. His wife Bette (Riley) Trombly passed away in 2006 in the 45th year of their marriage.
