Obituary: Cyr G. Thibeault1937 - 2017SKOWHEGAN - Cyr Thibeault, 79, of Skowhegan, peacefully left this world on 1, 2017, surrounded by family and friends who will miss him terribly. His lifelong love, Dorena (Sirois) Thibeault, who passed away in 2015, is happy to have him by her side again.Cyr will be remembered by those he leaves behind as a man devoted to his family, who lovingly cared for his mother, his aunts, his children, and his wife of almost 56 years. He remained close to many friends since childhood and was known to his buddies as "Redeye." Faithfulness and kindness filled Cyr's heart, leaving absolutely no room for discontent or bitterness. Cyr rarely left central Maine because everything he ever needed or wanted was practically in his back yard. He loved foraging for fiddleheads, raspberries, and blueberries. He also enjoyed fishing, especially if someone he loved joined him on the adventure, and he made a lifetime of memories on Ironbound Pond. Cyr was an avid card payer who for decades hosted night poker games at his home on North Avenue. In later years, he played cribbage almost daily with his best friends, Ray Barnes and Bob Bushey. Trips to race tracks and Hollywood Slots gave Cyr great pleasure, whether he won or lost, and he loved the Boston Red Sox whether they won or lost. As the manager of the state liquor store for nearly 30 years, Cyr knew almost everyone in Skowhegan and rarely met a person he didn't like. He enjoyed time with friends at the Skowhegan Eagles and Elks clubs, and attended monthly lunches with his classmates from the Skowhegan High School graduating Class of 1955.A constant smile, silly one-liners, and hearty laughter made Cyr lots of fun to be with any time.Cyr is survived by his three children, Kevin Thibeault and his partner Mary Kennedy, of Dexter; Christine Thibeault and her husband Todd Crawford, of Casco; and Lynne and her husband Todd Morrison, of North Yarmouth. He had two grandsons, Connor and Dylan Morrison, whom he cherished dearly. Cyr is also survived by relatives, Richard "Jake" Sirois, of Norridgewock; Rosalie and Colby Perkins, of Freeport; and David and Mary Sirois of Ithaca, N.Y. He was predeceased by his parents, Agnes and Edmund Thibeault; and his wife, Dorena.Cyr's family extends deepest gratitude to all the staff at Cedar Ridge , and to Michelle Aldrich, who made Cyr's leaving this world peaceful and comfortable. Obituary: Dover-Foxcroft and Roxbury, ME - Stephen G. Thibault, 74, husband of Margaret (Golden) Thibault, died 15, 2014, at Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. He was born 17, 1939, in Bradley, the son of Raymond and Florence (Seymour) Thibault. Stephen graduated from Old Town High School in 1958. He served with the U.S. Navy as a corpsman for four years and graduated from McAllister School of Embalming in 1963. He began his career as a funeral director in Van Buren, working with his uncle for three years. He was employed at Eastern Maine Medical as a phlebotomist and lab technician and then after a year in Presque Isle, moved to Rumford in 1970, where he purchased and operated the S.G. Thibault until retiring in 2006. Umpa as he was affectionately known by family and friends, enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, especially watching their sporting and dramatic events. Celebrating holidays was very important to him, whether spending Christmas with his brother, Doug and his children, Myja and Myra; Easter with Nora, George, Paul and Nicole; Thanksgiving, when as many as 40 family members would gather to eat at the funeral home on Penobscot Street, Fourth of parties, and playing Santa at Christmas time. He enjoyed golfing and always appreciated the years he spent serving the families in the Rumford area through his funeral home. He was a member of the Eagles, Elks, Knights of Columbus and the American Legion, as well as a communicant of the Holy Savior Catholic Church, all in Rumford. He was a past member of the Maine Directors Association. Stephen is survived by his beloved wife of over fifty years, Margaret; his daughter, Dr. Kathleen Thibault and her husband, Matt Spooner, and their children, Matthew David and Meghan; a brother, Douglas Thibault and his wife, Lori; his other daughter, Kelly Hotham Ellis; his oldest grandson, Mitchell Fraser; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and a sister, Norene (Thibault) Adams. He will be remembered by many special people who were a large part of his life over the years, his cousin, Earl Seymour and his wife, Doris; his golfing buddies, The Crazies, the Pineau and Worthing families, who always celebrated the Fourth of with the Thibaults; Alan and Marcia White, who traveled often with Stephen and his wife, Margaret, on funeral director trips; Michael Fraser, who was like a son to him; his friends at Roxbury Pond, especially Bill and Arilla Ruff and Beeb and Barb Belanger; his Old Town high school friends; and the gang from St. Josephs Hospital in Bangor. Obituary: LEWISTON - Lucille G.Thibault a resident of DYouville Pavilion passed away peacefully on 6 with her family at her side. Born on May 11, 1922, she was the daughter of Odilon and Lydia (Champagne) Morin. She attended local schools, also Morency Business School and was a Lewiston-Auburn resident all her life. Lucille married Marcel Thibault on 10, 1948 and they proudly raised four children together. Once the children were grown she worked at Zayres in the Jewelry Department for 13 years.Lucille was a lifelong member of Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. She loved spending time with family and playing cards with her aunts and friends. Lucille is survived by her two daughters, Lorraine Belanger and her husband Roger and Linda Thibault and her husband Mike Garrity; two sons Daniel Thibault and his wife Greta, and John Thibault and partner Lori Ayotte, six grandchildren; Lisa Cote, Diane Cote and her partner Dave Beaule, Daniel Thibault Jr. and wife Veronica, of North Carolina, Michael Thibault , Zachary Thibault, Chelsie Thibault and eight very special great grandchildren Allyso Thibault, Danny Thibault III, Erin Thibault, Ryan Cloutier, Shannon Cloutier, Jack Thibault, Parker Thibault, and Londyn Thibault . He was born Sept 21st, 1943, in Old Town ME, son of Raymond and Florence (Seymour) Thibault. Douglas graduated from Old Town High School in 1962. In 1969 he graduated from Husson with a BS Degree in Business. Not one to waste any time, he was on a plane the following day for his 1st job with Oscar Mayer. Doug was married to Carole Gould and had two children, Myja and Myra Thibault. He became a single parent in 1981 and raised Myja and Myra in Narragansett, RI. Doug later married Lori Perkins on 21, 1996 with her children Travis and Brittany Thibeault. He had a successful career as a purveyor of fines meats, mostly pork, for Oscar Mayer. Later on, he worked for Dubuque Packing across many states. In 1989 he and his partner, Dave Lawton, established their own brokerage called D&D which later became known as Agri Sales. worked together for 25 years and sold Pork and Chicken. Doug had a talent for designing and remodeling homes. Many of his friends can attest to his "take charge" and "get it done" attitude. Doug was a friend to everyone and was always ready to lend a hand and start a new project. He had quick wit and many words of wisdom. He was a chef in the kitchen and could whip up a number of dishes in 20 minutes. He had a green thumb, an eye for great design, and an ear for listening. Doug loved his family and being active with water sports at his home on Webb Lake. He was affectionately known as "The Mayor" by his closest friends on the west side of the lake. During the past few years, Doug and Lori enjoyed staying at their cottage in New Brunswick, Canada. Doug's glowing personality quickly made their front porch the morning hub for many neighbors. And he always served up the strongest pot of coffee. A lover of animals, you could always catch Doug with his best friend and loyal terrier Thumper. He is survived by his wife, Lori Thibault; his son, Myja Thibault and his wife, Carol Thibault; his daughter, Myra Thibault; his son, Travis Thibeault; and daughter Brittany Thibeault; "adopted" son, Tatsuya Sakamoto, a foreign exchange student from Japan who spent a year with the Thibault family and has visited five times since. He will be missed by many of his friends he called brothers, Leo, Dave, Scott, Tom, and Rick from Canada. He was especially fond of Kelley Chiasson, whom he called his other daughter. Uncle "Duck" is also survived by many nieces and nephews and was especially fond of his niece, Dr. Kathleen Thibault and her family.
