Obituary: BOSSIER CITY, LA - Kathryn E. Togersen passed away peacefully on Wed., 25, 2015, at 90 years young. She was born 6, 1925 in Beloit, KS. to Fred and Elizabeth Crowl. In 1947 she married Raymond L. Togersen and moved to Barksdale in 1949 in which has remained a resident of Bossier City. She was a homemaker, a Volunteer Pink Lady at Bossier Medical since 1967, and a member of the Bossier City Chapter 175 Order of Eastern Star for over 60 years. She also served as a proud, dedicated, member of St. Georges Episcopal Church for 52 years. Kathryn was a HUGE Mardi Gras lover and enthusiast. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son (Rex L. Togersen), granddaughter (Jennifer Togersen), Grandson (Jeff May), and 3 siblings. She is survived by her son, R. Lynn Togersen and wife Melissa, daughter Diane May, daughter in law Linda Togersen; also by her grandchildren Heather Togersen McKenzie and husband Malcolm, Joe J.R. Togersen and wife Tammy, Cherlyn Togersen and Fiance David Mead, and Shannon May. Kathryn also was survived by 6 precious Great Grandchildren, who she adored with her whole heart. Visitation will be held , Nov. 29, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Hill Crest and funeral services will be held , Nov. 30, 2015 at St. Georges Episcopal Church, on Airline Dr., Bossier City, LA. at 1:00 p.m. with the Very Revd. James E. Flowers officiating. There will be a reception at the church from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Hill Crest following services. Pallbearers will be Joe Togersen, Malcolm McKenzie, Joe Taylor, Tom Wallace, Clay Lee, and Tim Riley. Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Togersen, Will May, Robbie Roberts and Jimmy Roberts. In the words of Kathryn, Im not sick! She will be missed dearly by all, especially at Mardi Gras. Lunch will never be the same without her in the midst of the Golden Girl Lunch crew with her best friends, Patty Lachle, Dawn Morzeck, and Geri Anderson, and special friend, Edith Faught.
