Obituary: A visitation for Darrin Paul "Tip" Templet will be held at Ourso , Gonzales on , 5, 2014 from 6pm to 9pm. Visitation will resume at Ourso on from 8:30 until 10:15am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Amant at 11am, Rev. Jon Koehler, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Darrin passed away on , 28, 2014 at the age of 47 in St. Amant. He was a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of St. Amant. He was a graduate of St. Amant High School class of 1985. Darrin was employed by Turner Industries for the past 26 years and a member of Central South Carpenters Regional Council 1098. He was a loving husband to Lesley Ann Lambert Templet of St. Amant whom he married on 27, 1989. His proudest achievement was becoming a father to his son Brandon Paul Templet on 1, 2001. Following in his hero's footsteps (his father, Doyle Templet), Darrin began playing music at the age of two and continued to share his love with others by playing in multiple bands throughout his life. Darrin's other hobbies included hunting, fishing, cooking, watching LSU football and spending time with family and friends. He was also survived by his mother, Mary Agnes Melancon Templet, father, Doyle Noah Templet and Margie, sisters, Dorna Templet and Saul Duhon and Deshea Templet Ramey and Terry, brother-in-law, Jason Lambert and Amanda, sister-in-law, Rhonda Edmonds and Lawrence, nieces, Taren, Amanda, Katie, Bailee, Kristen, Katie and Ella and nephews, Corey and Andrew and great nieces and nephew, MaKayla, Marlee, Macyn and Blaze. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ovide and Elpha Babin Templet; maternal grandparents, Percy and Virginia Melancon Chauvin; and his godfather, Percy Melancon, Jr. Pallbearers will be Duane Melancon, Terry Ramey, Jason Lambert, Ted Delatte, Kevin "Nobby" Eliser, Richard Bercegeay, Tyke Fontenot, Craig Cook and Grant Duplessis.
