Born 25, 1928 in Stephens , she was a daughter of the late Johnson and Reppard Westmoreland Camp. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Christine was also retired from Milliken. Family members include her sons and daughters-in-law, William Richard and Kathy Turpin of Athens, Daniel Keith Turpin of Toccoa, Curtis Mitchell and Vickie Turpin of Lavonia, Douglas Grant Turpin of Toccoa, and John Kenneth and Pam Turpin of Toccoa; grandchildren, Jeremy Ashley and Dawn Campbell of Flowery Branch, Elizabeth Lynn Frederick of Nicholson, Amanda Lester of Buford, Sonya Chastain of Bowman, Danielle and Katie Hamby of Toccoa, Angie Brown, Marcus Colley, and Kevin Colley; great-grandchildren, Brianna Lynn Frederick, Summer Campbell, Camron Campbell, Conner Campbell, Brayden, Caden, Coley, Kinley, and Hudson, Kasey Colley, Selice Kinley, Marlee Kinley, Gavyn Colley and Alexis Colley; her sister, Jessie Camp Jordan; and several nieces and nephews. He was born in Pickens, South Carolina on 18, 1936 to the late Jesse Lee Turpin and Mary Louetta Bell Turpin. graduating from Stephens High School, he attended and earned degrees at Young Harris , Piedmont (AB), and the University of Georgia (MED, Specialist). Mr. Turpin served as an educator for 42 years as a teacher, principal, curriculum director, and State Department of Education consultant. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Joyce Andrews. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Becky Brannen Turpin, daughter and son-in-law Andrea Joyce and Sean Zare, daughter Lori kaye Turpin and her partner Sue Tritsch, grandson Zachary Zare, a sister Ruby and brother-in-law Ray McCall of Toccoa, a brother-in-law Wyley Brannen and several nieces and nephews. Born 7, 1953 in Toccoa, she was a daughter of the late George and Prather Turpin, of Eastanollee. She was a lifetime member of Eastanollee Baptist Church and loved her church family dearly. Surviving family are: Siblings: Mary Turpin of Eastanollee, Fermon Turpin of Toccoa, Rachel Morrison of Lavonia, Kathy Boone and husband Marvin of Clarkesville. Nieces and nephews: Lamar Turpin of Toccoa, Keith Milford & wife Alison of Duluth, Beth Wiggins of Hilton Head, SC, Rebecca Milford-Floyd & husband Eddie of Lavonia, Amanda Addison & husband Russ of Toccoa, Seth Williams & wife Julie of Eastanollee, and the late Donna Turpin Williams. Great nieces and nephews: Jason Williams, Ben Milford, Alex Milford, Reagan Floyd, Eliza Kate Floyd, Perrin Floyd, Bryson Kent, Garrett Addison, Emmett Addison, Laci Jane Fletcher, Landry Williams, Zen Wiggins, and Aja Wiggins, and a great-great nephew, Eric Williams. Her sister in Christ and her church Mother: Sister Hazel Scott. The family will receive family and friends at the mortuary from 5pm – 8pm , 20, 2016. services will be held at one oclock , 21, 2016 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Obituary: Andrew Herbert Turpin, Sr., 80, of Alpharetta passed away at his home on 27th, 2014 surrounded by his family, after fighting a courageous battle against cancer and heart related issues. Herb the son of the late Luther Monroe and Amanda Turpin was born on 23, 1934 in Smyrna, one of 2 brothers and 4 sisters. He was educated at the Georgia Institute of Technology and a veteran of US Army. Herb was a true entrepreneur and respected visionary in the business world. His true passion was his devotion, love and dedication to his family and God. His zeal for life was known by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Dorothy Jeannean; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna DuShane Kiely and Patrick Kiely of Dallas, TX, Jenay ONeille Sheehan and Gary B. Sheehan of Alpharetta; son, Andrew Andy Herbert Turpin, Jr. of Duluth. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Kristina Marie Turpin, Andrew Herbert Drew Turpin, III; and Trisha Nicole Turpin, their mother, Sandra Cole Turpin, and great grandchild, Aubree Harlow Turpin all of the Atlanta area; and by his sisters, Katheryn Turpin Wood, Louise Meyers, Margaret Nash, and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held on 5th, 2014 at 11:30am at H. M. Patterson & Son Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Road, NE, Sandy Springs, GA at 11:30am.
