Obituary: TAYLOR, Alan Brent, of Wesley Chapel, was born on 13, 1939 in Baltimore, MD to the late John Gilbert Taylor Sr. and Ruth Violet Taylor nee Bergan. He passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on 23, 2015 at the age of 75 years old. Alan was a retired chef and enjoyed trains, planes, camping, collecting sea shells and watching his beloved UK Wildcats play basketball. In addition to his parents, Alan is preceded in death by his daughter, Ashley Noreen Taylor and his brother, David M. Taylor. He is survived by his loving wife Deborah Elaine Taylor nee Globus; his children, Kimberly Dawn Taylor, Angelia Marie Johnson (Matthew) and Crystal LeAnn Taylor; his brothers, Jack G. Taylor (Gena), Richard K. Taylor (Jewell) and George R. Taylor (Julie). Also surviving is his sister-in-law Pat Taylor and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on , May 1, 2015 from the Carrollwood Chapel of Blount & Curry , 3207 W. Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33618. Friends may gather with the family at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at 2:00 PM. |

Obituary: Adah L. “Patty” Taylor, 83, of Sarasota, FL formerly of Grandview Heights, OH passed away on Aug. 17, 2015 born 18, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio to Paul and Alice Runkle. She was a 1950 Graduate of Grandview Heights High School. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Wm. “Tink” Taylor, Sr.; children Jeffrey, Rick, Jane, Scott, Ken and Wm “Tinker” Taylor, Jr. Patty was blessed to enjoy five grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Tidewell Hospice of Florida and American Cancer Society. Special thanks to Cheryl McLeod, Anne Reed and the Staff at The Springs and Rehabilitation in Sarasota, FL. Family Rememberance: Patty Taylor was a great wife, mom and friend. Looking at pictures of her taken through the years, one can’t help but notice that she was always smiling, always happy. Mom did not have an easy life. She was a single mother of four boys and one girl. I can tell you that her boys were a handful, doing what boys do, finding way to get into various kinds of trouble. From setting the Roof on “fire” (it only looked like that) to skipping school, to getting caught smoking, we were a definite hand full to our mom. She always made sure that we had a roof over our head, food to eat and clothes to wear. All the while she was doing without for herself. A ray of sunshine finally came into her life when she and Bill “Tink” Taylor finally got together. Bill and Patty were high school sweet hearts sharing a special bond from those early high school days. graduation, mom and bill went their separate ways, experiencing marriage and divorce. Finally, in 1968, Patty Runkle married Bill Taylor. Show can believe that a man would marry a woman with five children? Bill Taylor did just that, and a family was whole again. Looking back, I can see that we did not have an Ozzie and Harriet life, but we did not go without our mom’s love and support. In 1970, Bill and Patty had a son, Bill, Jr., lovingly called Tinker. He was Bill’s only child and was a bright spot in their lives. Patty Taylor had a special kind of love for her husband, one that endured through the trials and tribulations of raising six children. This love lasted 47 years, right up until she could no longer say “I Love You’. Patty produced six unique children, all with different personalities, but all six of her children loved her very much. Mom made many friends through her 83 years as she was the type of person who didn’t know a stranger. She was quick with a smile, laughed easily and loved deeply. Her friendship was epitomized in Cheryl McLeod and Anne Reed, co-workers from her final working years at Famous Shoes of Sarasota. These friendships lasted to her final day, that’s just the type of person she was. Patty Taylor, a great wife, mom and friend, will be greatly missed. One day we will meet again and hopefully continue the laughter and joy that she brought to our lives. Mom, we love you and miss you and are thankful for everything you did for us. |
