Obituary: Concetta Connie Szabo, age 83, wife of the late Alexander Szabo, passed away , 12, 2014. Born in Bridgeport to the late Daniel and Lucrezia English, Connie was a Fairfield resident for over 30 years and Easton for many years prior to that. She was a very warm and kind hearted person who always had a smile for everyone and was also an avid animal lover. Connie was a homemaker and also volunteered many years for the American Cancer Society. She was pre-deceased by her sisters, Antionette Medvegy, Mary Proto, Lena Csizmazia and Lucretia (Dolly) Medvegy, 2 brothers Louis and Joseph English, brother & sister in law Albert & Edie Szabo and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Obituary: Peter Syracuse New London- Peter J. Syracuse, age 90, of New London, died , 9, 2016, at the Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London. He was born in New London, 5, 1925, the son of Peter and Frances Turello Syracuse. He was a graduate of the former Chapman Technical High School in New London, and was a veteran of WWII, serving in the United States Army. He was retired from the United States Post Office. He is survived a nephew Joseph LoGioco of New London; a niece Veronica Wilson of Kentucky. He was predeceased by a brother Anthony Syracuse and a sister Lena Marie LoGioco. The funeral will assemble on at 11:30 AM and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12 noon in St. Joseph Church. There will be a calling hour prior to the Mass from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Mary . Obituary: Konstancja (Jarosz) Sypko, 86 died peacefully at home on , 16, 2010 with her beloved family by her side.
She was born near Stanislawow-Kresy, Poland and was the daughter of the late Jan and Anna (Liszka) Jarosz and a beloved and devoted wife of 63 years to Albin Sypko.
She has lived many years in New Britain, retired from General Electric after 15 years of service and was a active member of the Polish Community. She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone and was always the first to offer a helping hand to any one in need. She was a devoted member of Holy Cross Church and Holy Cross Rosary Society, throughout the years she was first to help with every event that the church sponsored. She was a long time member of Kolo Przyjaciol Harcerstwa- Polish Scouting Auxiliary. Mrs. Sypko with her husband faithfully decorated the outdoor alter for the Polish Dozynki and she planted flowers around the Katyn Monument since it was erected. Although she helped all in need her greatest joy was cooking her special meals and spending time with her beloved family.
Besides her devoted husband, Albin she will be dearly missed by her four children with their spouses, Roman Sypko of New Britain; Edmund Sypko of Poland; Basia and Bernard Pacyniak of Chicago and Dr. Teresa and Jozef Szajda of Farmington.
She leaves twelve beloved grandchildren with spouses who where her pride and joy, Marcin and Sara; Adam and Jenny; Basia and Albert; Pawel and Marina; Philip, Gabriel and Elizabeth, Korina, Susan and Ian, Michael, Konrad and Iza, Kalina and Kasper, and four cherished great grandchildren, Tyler, Fiona, Matthew and Thaddeus..
She leaves a brother, Stanislaw Jarosz; and two sisters, Dr. Bronislawa Jeziorzanska, Janina Klos and several sisters in law all of Poland. and many nieces and nephews and cousins She was predeceased by four brothers and one sister.

Services will be on , 20, 2010 at 8:00 AM at New Britain Memorial/Donald D. Sagarino , 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain followed by the funeral liturgy at 9:00 AM at Holy Cross Church.
Burial will be at Sacred Heart .

Obituary: Edmund Andrzej Sypko , 58, passed away peacefully at Hospicjum Nowosadeckie in Nowy Sacz, Poland after a fight with lung cancer. He was born in Kluczbork, Poland on 13, 1955 and was the son of the late Konstancja and the late Albin Sypko. Edmund Andrzej was a graduate of Holy Cross School, Pulaski High School and UCONN. He was a member of the Polish Scouting Organization, ZHP and a Cub Scouts (Zuchy) leader. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Anna Gronostaj, and their children, Konrad (Iza); Kalina (Michal) Niec; Kasper and his cherished grand-daughter Emilia. He is survived by his sisters Dr. Teresa (Jozef ) Szajda, Basia Bronislawa (Bernard) Pacyniak , his brother Roman and many nieces and nephews.

Obituary: Albin Sypko, 92, widower of Konstancja (Jarosz) Sypko of New Britain, passed away on , May 6, 2012. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Albin was the son of the late Roman and Rozalia (Zebranowicz) Sypko. In 1922, Albin with his parents and siblings emigrated to independent Poland. Albin married Konstancja in Poland in 1947. Due to the political situation in Poland, Albin returned to the States with his own family in 1964 and lived in New Britain since 1967. Albin was a proud veteran of WWII, having served with the Polish Underground Army (Armia Krajowa). He was active in many veteran groups, community organizations and Polish causes. For many years, he served as the financial secretary for the General Haller Post #111, as a membership secretary for Falcons Nest #88, as a treasurer for the KPH of Polish Scouts and was a member of Pulaski Democratic Club. He was a recipient of the Legion of Honor Medal from the Polish Falcons of America. He was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church, a member of the Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Parish, of PNA Lodge 2093, of Polish American Congress and of the parent support group at the Polish School. For over 25 years, he served as a member of the Polish Harvest Festival Dozynki committee and of the Polish Veterans Day Committee Dzien Zolnierza. Together with his predeceased wife Konstancja, they set up and decorated the alter with wheat grown in his garden for the masses celebrated on those occasions. He was very supportive and attended many events in helping build the American Czestochowa in Doylestown, PA. Mr. Sypko retired from New Britain Machine. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, whose strength, love and determination was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was a talented public speaker, enjoyed gardening, joking with his grandchildren, and hosting large family events at his home.
Mr. Albin Sypko is survived and will be dearly missed by his four children with their spouses: Edmund Andrzej, Roman (Tatiana), Dr. Teresa (Jozef) Szajda of Farmington; and Basia Bronislawa (Bernard) Pacyniak of Chicago; his twelve dear grandchildren: Marcin (Sara), Adam (Jenny), Basia (Albert), Pawel (Marina), Filip, Gabriel (Elizabeth), Korina, Susan (Ian), Michael, Konrad (Izabela), Kalina (Michal), and Kasper; his seven great-grandchildren: Tyler, Matthew, Edward, Fiona, Thaddeus, Emilka and Julian with the eighth and ninth on the way; and many nieces and nephews in Poland. He will also be missed by many "almost like grandchildren" families but especially by Anetta, Krzysztof, Phillip and Gabriella Kuzawa and by the Strileckis family. He was the brother of late Piotr (Antonina) and Helena (Jan) Pichur of Poland. Besides his beloved family, he leaves many dear friends, among them Joseph Smyk, Zofia Pawlak and Jolanta Kierklo.
