Obituary: FLORIDA - Irwin M. Sayet, 86, of Aventura, FL and formerly of Norwich, CT, died on , 7th at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, FL. He was born on 30, 1930 to the late Barney and Dorothy (Bank) Sayet, in Bronx NY and was raised in NY City. Irwin graduated from UCONN and was a member of the Phi Sigma Delta fraternity and was married to his beloved wife Phyllis (Rosen) for 62 years. He was a successful businessman, owning and operating The Floor Covering Shop in Norwich for over 50 years until retiring to Florida. He loved to travel and collect mementos on trips as well as playing backgammon, tennis, reading and socializing on the golf course. He belonged to the Pautipaug Country Club, was a member of the Lions Club, was past Vice President of the Beth Jacob Synagogue, and volunteered at the soup kitchen. Irwin is survived by his wife Phyllis, sons; Mark Howard Sayet and his wife Hedy, Atty. Bart Andrew Sayet and his wife Lori Lindfors, son-in-law; Scott Seder, grandchildren; Rachel, Madeline, David, Alexis, Evan, Dara, Michael, Lindsay and Griffin and great-grandchildren; Gage, Reygan and Reylan. He was predeceased by his daughter, Laura Beth Seder. Services will be held , 10th at 11am at Temple Emanu-El, 29 Dayton Rd, Waterford, CT., with burial immediately following at Hebrew Benevolent #3, Middle Rd., Preston, CT. Shiva will be observed that evening at the home of Bart Sayet and Lori Lindfors, 37 Butternut Dr., Norwich, CT. Obituary: Prospect - Mr. Wallace T. Teddy Saxton IV, age 61, of Prospect, passed away 22, 2014 in the VITAS Unit at St. Marys Hospital. Mr. Saxton was born in Waterbury on May 26, 1953 son of the late Wallace T. Saxton III and the late Margaret (Tuccillo) Saxton. He was a former employee of S.N.E.T. and enjoyed tag sailing, collecting antiques, fishing, camping, golfing, watching basketball, and especially socializing. He was truly a people person. Mr. Saxton is survived by three sons: Stephen T. Saxton and his wife Giulia of Waterbury, CT, Thomas M. Saxton of Waterbury, CT,and Jonathan D. Saxton of Sacramento, CA, a sister Sheryl Saxton of Sterling, CT, two granddaughters: Gianna and Adriana Saxton, and a grandson Evan Moriarty. A memorial service will be held on 30, 2014 at 6 p.m. at the Prospect Memorial , 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
