Obituary: Theresa Marie Stanton (Toby), mother and wife, resident of Aurora Colorado, died unexpectedly late last week. Theresa is survived by her husband, Raymond Stanton; their children, James Montiel, Patricia Stanton, and Richard Stanton; Brothers, Rudy Hiers and Richard Hiers; Daughters-in-laws, Heather Montiel and Erica Wigington, as well as a son-in-law, Sal; and two grandchildren, Leila and Salvatore. Toby was pre-deceased by her parents, Charles and Maureen Hiers as well as a brother, Charlie Hiers. Toby was born in Aiken, SC on 28, 1954 to Charles and Maureen Hiers. She graduated from North Hollywood High School in 1972. She met her husband Raymond in Spring 1981 and married 4, 1987 at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas. Toby took great joy in cooking and hosting guests at her home. She was an avid movie lover and reader. Ray and Toby loved spending time at their cabin in Park CO. Services will be held at Olingers Hampden at 8600 E. Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231 on , 31, 2015 at 10:00am. A small reception will be held in Aurora at the Stanton family home following the services. |

Obituary: Dennis Lee Stanton went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on 2, 2015. He was 63 years old. For over 20 years he owned and operated Carpet Professionals, Inc. in Colorado Springs. His wife of over 44 years, Colleen, and his youngest son, Joshua, were at his side comforting him at the time of his passing. Reared in a blue-collar labor-union family near Detroit, he received no formal education beyond high school but possessed a thirst for knowledge and desire to learn. He held jobs as a railroad laborer, a security guard, and a newspaper deliveryman before striking out on his own to start a carpet-cleaning business that blossomed into a successful endeavor. Born with the gift of gab, he never met a stranger. His work cleaning carpet and upholstery in homes and businesses across Southern Colorado provided a daily soapbox to entertain his clients with insight on current events, politics, religion, sports and whatever else was on his mind. He had a knack for making people feel special when he wasn making them double over with laugher. He is survived by his wife, Colleen Rose (OBrien) Stanton; his mother, Irma Lee Szymanski; his sister, Mona Milon; his eldest son, James Michael Stanton, and daughter-in-law, Britta Erin Stanton; youngest son, Joshua Paul Stanton; his four grandchildren, Alexandra Rose Stanton, Luke Timothy Stanton, Eric James Stanton, and Caroline Lily Stanton; and, a large extended family. Friends and family are invited to a public celebration of his life at 7 p.m. on , 4, 2015, at Swan-Law at 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs 80903. |
