Obituary: n Jean Spearman passed away on 14, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. She was born 27, 1947, in Denver, CO to Clarence and Geraldine Cook. She graduated from Hinkley High School in Denver, Colorado. n attended Colorado State University for three years where she met her husband Mike. She then attended Eastern New Mexico University for one year until graduation. were married on 21, 1969. Mike and n lived in Texico, NM for 12 years where they started their family then moved to Colorado. raised their family while living at the ranch in La Garita from 1982 until present. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and enjoyed her many friends, gardening and time spent on her porch. She is survived by her husband Mike of 41 years, her two sons Ryan (Carol) and Chad (Joey) and 3 beautiful grandchildren Emberly, Lane and Riley, a brother Phil Cook (Carole), sister Sharon Wood (Bob), several nieces, and aunts. n spent her life at home, taking care of her family and anyone else who needed her help. One of ns gifts from God was her ability to care for and nurture others in times of need. This was her way of doing Gods work and she did it very well her entire adult life. She was blessed with two wonderful daughter-in-laws and dearly loved assisting them with her grand children. She was devoted to her family and friends and will be remembered for her love and loyalty. In lieu of flowers we would ask that donations be sent to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), 8055 E. Tufts Ave. Suite 770, Denver, Colorado 80237. Obituary: A quiet, honest and very humble man, John Allen Spear, 71 was an extraordinary, loving husband to Angela and dedicated father to Susan, Irene, Annette and John. Known for his entrepreneurship, loyalty to country and family, his tenacity and relentless spirit, he lived every minute of his amazing life to the fullest. He started his journey in Rutland, Vermont, the fifth of eight children born to farmer Harry and his wife Maude. Educated in a one room school house he sought a future serving his country and enlisted in the United States Air Force just 12 days after his 17th birthday. He returned home 3 years later to marry his school sweetheart and kept her teenage picture in his wallet and their love in his heart for 51 years. His military service ended honorably after just 5 years with the onset of his lifelong battle with medical issues and his struggle to survive. During the following years he went on to become a jack and master of all trades including farmer, inventor, engineer, carpenter, electrician, welder, plumber, and an aircraft, motorcoach, and automobile designer and builder. His talents were varied and evident in all his handywork and the numerous projects he produced. His approach to life was simple; always work hard and give your all. His legacy resides in his accomplishments and his children, both of whom he was quietly proud. Johns wonderful life ended on 19 2010 after a valiant fight, he never gave up even though the challenges life dealt him were often harsh. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his incredible intellect and generosity, passion for life, gentle nature and love for his family.
