Obituary: MARIANNE SOTACK 1918-2011 Marianne Sotack, of Littleton, Colorado passed away 1, 2011. She was born in Chandler, Colorado--a mining camp, at the edge of Canon City, on , 12, 1918, to Joseph and Margaret Zontine. She is survived by her sister JoAnn Marranzino, her sons Dean and Gary, her grandchildren Jeff and Lindsay and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Mike and her brother Bill Zontine. Marianne was raised during the depression with her brother Bill and her sister JoAnn. never had a bathroom in the house or a telephone until she was in college. She grew up in a home that was very school oriented. At night when they did the evening dishes, their dad would give them math problems and spelling words. There was always a contest going on between Bill and Marianne When she was ten years old, the family moved to Frederick, Colorado. She graduated from high school in Frederick at the age of sixteen and was Valedictorian of her class. She was awarded scholarships to college and majored in accounting at Denver University. Her family then moved to Denver. Marianne took beauty courses and opened a beauty shop at Lowry Field during World War II. There was never a shortage of suitors for Marianne, but she met and fell for Mike Sotack and was married at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Denver in 1949. had two sons, Dean and Gary. Marianne and Mike had given up the hope of ever having a child and were considering adoption, so their prayers were answered when they were able to have children. Mike worked in the oil business where his job required a lot of entertaining so Marianne became active in AIME and the Ladies of the Denver Petroleum club. joined Columbine Country Club in 1956 and Marianne totally enjoyed playing golf and being active in the Ladies 9 hole golf group. She served as President and Treasurer of the group and formed many lifelong friendships. Marianne loved to dance and was caught many a time doing the Charleston in the kitchen, or dancing through the family room with Mike if the right song came on the radio. She loved music and played the organ and her favorite song was Five foot Two Eyes of Blue. She was an accomplished seamstress and during the early years of her marriage made all her own clothes. She was an avid Bronco fan and did not miss a game for thirty years!! Dean later married Susan, and they had two children, Jeff and Lindsay, and of course the grandchildren were spoiled. Grandma was one of their greatest fans as they pursued gymnastics, baseball, wrestling, high school and college graduations, career choices and Lindsays marriage to Travis. The following is a list which we preface with the words She Always These are the silly little things that that are near and dear to our hearts. Marianne always said that she hated to cook but was always in the kitchen cooking something that smelled wonderful!! She loved anything that had cheese in it and just loved to have eggs and sausage in the morning. She would never sit still at the table she always wanted to get up and do the dishes and sometimes we could barely finish our meal before she was trying to take our plates. She always had a list of projects and was quite the slave driver in getting them accomplished. However, we all would bend over backwards to help her because she would then feed us some of her wonderful cooking. She always felt that it was necessary to be at the golf course at the crack of dawn!! She always had to sleep on ironed sheets, which was the cause for merciless teasing from her grandson Jeff. She always got excellent service when she and her granddaughter Lindsay went out to eat. Marianne said it was because she was with a beautiful blonde, but what grandma never fully understood was that she had it backwards; grandma always got such good service because grandma was so dang cute!! Marianne lost her husband after fifty two years of marriage and found life difficult without him, but she wrote to us about this, saying that her times with him were the happiest of her life. . He gave me love that I will carry to the end of my life. Don spend a lot of time grieving. I have had a full and good life with the love of my life and my wonderful family. Obituary: Dorothy Ann Adams Sosebee passed away on 5, 2015 in Centennial, Colorado. Prior to moving to Colorado in 2009, Ann lived in Dallas for over 40 years where she was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and employed by the City of Dallas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jack Sosebee, Sr. and sister-in-law, Mary Adams. She is survived by three children, Jack Jr. (Marcie), Mike (Debbie), Patty Henderson (Jimmy), sister Sara Moore (Jack), brother Ray, 9 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Grove Hill on , 14, 2015 at 2 PM. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until time of service. Interment to follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, one of Anns favorite charities. |

Obituary: Stephanie was born 28, 1993 and has left this world to enter her new life on 11, 2017. She was so loving and outgoing with anyone that crossed her life path. Her smile and laugh was one of a kind that anyone that saw or heard it would automatically have their day changed to happiness. She was a loving daughter and older sister that we enjoyed having her with us for these 23 years of life. Her passion was working with animals. It didn't matter what type of animal it was, she loved them all! Most of all she had a passion for her job which was at the Longmont Humane Society, dedicating almost 5 years of life there. She leaves behind her loving mother and father as well as her sisters and brothers and niece that absolutely adored her. She will be dearly missed and this is not good-bye, she is patiently waiting for us to join her hand in hand. |
