Obituary: Clara was born in Fresno in 1912. She was one of six children born to Casper and Mary Stumph. Mom attended and graduated from Edison High School and had several years of college. Clara owned and operated her own Beauty Lounge in Downtown Fresno. She married our Father Lawrence Steitz and sold her business. were married sixty plus years until his death in 2003. Her next adventure was raising two sons, Rick of Fresno and Larry of Pasadena. Mom was one to spend time in the kitchen baking all types of delicious goodies and generally taking care of her yard and playing cards with her womens group. Our Mother was a member of the Cross Church of Fresno and after her marriage to our Father she became an active member at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. We were all surprised that as our father was reaching retirement age, Mom went to work at Gottschalks as a sales person and worked there for twenty years. To this day we have people come up to us, and remind us that they were a customer of our Mothers at Gottschalks. In addition to Rick and Larry, she is survived by their wives Maria and Janis. She is also survived by three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair on , May 2, 2011, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens on , May 3, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. |

Obituary: Donna Wickham Steinshouer, 88, born on 17, 1926, in Lyle, KS, passed away 28, 2015. She was the youngest of 5 siblings and grew up on a small farm in rural Kansas. She married Bill Steinshouer in 1949 and started a family in the mid-1950s. She was a dedicated wife and mother. She taught mathematics at Woodrow Wilson Middle School for 25 years before retiring. Donna obtained a Masters degree in Education at the University of Southern California, served as the Alumni Advisor for the USC Sigma Kappa Sorority and was a member of PEO. She resided in Glendale, California for 60 years and after retiring she spent much of her time in Costa Rica with her son Kevin, relaxing and enjoying life. She is beloved and survived by her sons Kevin and Jim, a daughter Kerry, and 5 grandchildren. Services will be held on 14, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in Forest Lawn, Glendale, California. |
