Obituary: William "Bill" George Sapp III 16, 1943 - 11, 2011 Born to William Sapp Jr. and Thelma Smith Sapp. Bill was raised in Bakersfield, Ca and graduated from East Bakersfield High School where he was president of the FFA Chapter. His agriculture background influenced his life to become a 4-H community club leader, founding member of the Kern Fair Jr. Livestock and livestock superintendent. Bill loved the outdoors; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, working cattle and his favorite talking politics. He donated endless volunteer hours and funds to livestock youth organizations which enhanced and influenced the future of many young people. Bill took particular pride in being self employed (PEFCO, Grey Wolf Consultants) for many years in the oil field related service business. Bill is preceded in death by his parents. Bill is survived by his wife Debbie Sapp, the mother of his children Nancy Sapp Blanco, daughter Cindy Thompson (Dave), daughter Laurie Owens, son Brock Sapp (Darcy), daughter Becky Judge (Joel), son Brian Sapp (fiance Lisa Brawley), and Debbies daughter Kelly Wejmar, son Patrick Wejmar (Ginger), Adopted family Robert Smith (Shary) and Zack Lewis (Rose), 22 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to the Kern Fair Jr. Livestock Auction to purchase a fair animal in his memory. Services 15, 2011 at 11:00, Kern Christian , 4701 Gosford Rd., Celebration of Life to follow. |
