Obituary: Susie Lucille Szymanek, 89, of Weirton, died surrounded by her family, 23, 2015, at the Wyngate Senior Living Community. Born on 12, 1925, in Weirton, WV, Susie was a daughter of the late Domenick and Mary Mercurio Rotell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Felix James Szymanek, on 14, 1986, a daughter, Catherine Costello; a brother, Patsy Rotell; six sisters, Pasquelina Pulice, Angela Mercurio, Minnie Rocchio, Rose Tedesco, Concetta Pate, and Ann Hoover. Susie received her Undergraduate degree from West Liberty State , and her Masters degree from West Virginia University. With over twenty years of service, Susie retired from Steubenville City Schools, where she was a Reading Specialist. She also served as a Reading Recovery Supervisor with The Ohio State University. An avid reader, writer and educator, Susie authored a childrens book, Bumble Bee and a soon to be published novel. Most of all Susie found her enjoyment volunteering, tutoring, and helping children improve their reading skills. Susie was a faithful and devoted member of Saint Pauls Roman Catholic Church, and the Christian Mothers. Susie is survived by her two sons, Robert Szymanek (Lori) of Richmond, OH, and Thomas Szymanek (Pamela) of Weirton, WV; her twin daughters, Patricia Cowan (Roger) of Weirton, WV and Deborah Budash (John) of New Port Richey, FL; her eleven grandchildren, Monica (Mark) Caranda, Julie and T.J. Szymanek, Daniel (Jennifer) Costello, Robert (Carie) Costello, Stephanie (Josh) Kolanko, Heather (Erin) DiBacco, Shanna (Garn) Earley, Mandi (Jason) Figlioli; Danielle Budash, and Schanda Budney; her twenty great grandchildren, Jacob and Cole Caranda, Madison, Jenna, Johncraig, Taelor, Ethan, and Kearston Costello, Mishaela, Kayla, and Catherine Kolanko, Lance and Lillian DiBacco, Anthony and Isabella Earley, Angelo and Enzo Figlioli, Ava Budney, Maximus and Raya Utt; and her great great grandson Joshua Craig. Visitation will be 4 to 8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick , 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM at Saint Pauls Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. Rev. Fr. Larry Dorsch will preside. Interment will follow at Saint Pauls . Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Pauls Grade School, 140 Walnut Street, Weirton, WV 26062. |

Obituary: Eula Regenia Szuch She received a call on , 3rd, 2015 at 11:25 AM, in her home, surrounded by her family. This call carried an offer that she could not refuse, for a meeting that she will not be returning from. This opportunity requires her relocation, which she gladly accepts because it is made so attractive by the huge sign-on bonus that includes a reunion with her husband, mother, grandson and other family and friends that she missed terribly. Eula Regenia Szuch of Mt. Hope, WV would like to let you know that her work here is done and she has finally accepted the long awaited for offer and entered into eternal life. When you are rushing to get your day started and contemplating skipping over breakfast, consider Eula, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who would want you to make time for the most important meal of the day. Also, make sure you take your vitamins and eat all of your vegetables at lunch and dinner and never go outside without proper attire for the weather. Never raise your voice because that is not lady-like and always make sure you feed every guest that comes into your home. Brush your teeth three times a day to keep the dentist away and if you want to have good posture, learn to cross the room with a book balanced on your head. Make sure you get plenty of rest and always keep yourself hydrated and your skin covered if you are going to be out in the sun. She is preceded in her promotion to eternal life by her husband of 63 years, Steve Szuch and their son; Her mom and dad, Ester Adkins and Milton Hendrix; Her stepdad Enoch Adkins; Her grandson, Steve Dixon and two great grandchildren, Steven Michael and Isabella Marie Bonifacio. She loved to spend quality time with her family, reminiscing and looking through photo albums. She collected every little treasure that was proof of an accomplishment by anyone she loved. She was a rare gem, a precious stone, truly a diamond in the rough. In a world that is miserable and ugly, she was a constant peace. She was a beautiful, compassionate, kind, caring and loving soul. The love and pride that she had for her son and family was matched by nothing measurable here on this earth. Eula bonded her family so tight with love that they will cherish her memory forever… She is survived by her son, David Dixon and his wife Mary; Three grandchildren (Charity Bonifacio and her husband Michael, Jeanette Saporito and her husband Sam and David Wright and his wife Tina); Six great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter; One sister Susie Garvin; Two nieces (Pam Channell and her husband Donnie and Melody Wood McClung); Two great nephews (Larry Whitmore and his wife Talia, Josh Rice and his wife Leanne); Two great nieces (Rachelle Channell and Stephanie Hankins and her husband Jim); Five great nieces and one great nephew; And one best friend and caregiver, Shelly Johnson. services will be held at 7:00 PM , 7, 2015 at Blue Ridge , Beckley.
