Obituary: Wanda Jean Sydenstricker,83, of Scott Depot, passed away 9, 2017 at Hubbard Hospice House West in South Charleston. She was born 7, 1934 in Charleston to Roy C. And Opal Stone of Dunbar. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Robert "Bob" Sydenstricker and daughter Connie Sue Sydenstricker. She was a graduate of Dunbar High School and was a homemaker all her life. She loved going camping in their RV, cooking and working puzzles. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She will be missed by all that knew her. She attended Charleston Mountain Mission Church until she was not able to drive. She is survived by daughter Maribeth Shreve (Gary) of St. Albans, Son Greg Scott Sydenstricker of Scott Depot, Grandchildren Justin Shreve of St. Albans, Misty Shreve of Myrtle Beach, SC, Joshua Shreve of Nitro, John Shingleton of Charleston, Robert Shingleton of Grafton, Great Grand Children, Hope Shingleton of Grafton and Kody Shreve of Nitro A Celebration of Jean's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. 12, 2017 at Casdorph & Curry in St. Albans with Pastor Terry Hogue officiating. Visitation will be 11, 2017 from 2-4 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens in Cross Lanes, WV |

Obituary: Robert Lee “Bob” Sydenstricker, 79, of Scott Depot, passed away 18, 2014 in Teays Valley CAMC. He was born 1, 1935 in Charleston, a son of Dennis and Rachael Sydenstricker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Connie Sue Sydenstricker. He retired from Verizon (Formerly C & P) after 35 years where he was a budget supervisor. He attended Charleston Mountain Mission Church. Bob was an avid WVU Fan, camping in his RV, and the outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend that will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Wanda Jean Sydenstricker, daughter, Marybeth Shreves (Gary) of St. Albans, son, Gregory Scott, of Scott Depot, grandchildren, John Clark Shingleton of Charleston, Robert Thomas Shingleton, of Grafton, Justin James “J.J” Shreves, of St. Albans, Josh Shreves, of St. Albans, Misty Autumn Shreves, of Myrtle Beach, SC, and sisters, Jackie Neese, of Hurricane, Lewella Painter, of St. Albans, and Betty George, of St. Albans.
