Obituary: MARY W. SOMERS 31, 1931 ~ May 3, 2015 Mary W. Somers, 84 years old, of Vancouver, WA, passed away May 3, 2015. She was born in Evansville, IN Jan. 31, 1931, to Albert and Gertrue Snyder. Mary was the office manager and co-owner of several travel agencies with her husband. She traveled extensively around the world, loved music, and was an avid reader. Mary loved the Lord, spending time with her grandchildren, and was a big Judge Judy fan! Mary is survived by her daughters, Sharon Scott (husband Richard, Carol Williams (husband Roger), and Pamela Ross (husband Bill); grandchildren, Curtis, Joe, and Jeff Scott, Rachael Walway, Michael Williams, Jenny Herren Pugh Roberts, Cornia Blue, Wesley and Rebecca Pierre; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman L. Somers. A memorial service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens on Tues., May 12th, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. Special thanks to Pastor Aaron Knapp, the Salmon Creek Legacy Hospital, and Dr. Sunny Kim. Obituary: Keith Lawrence Somers was born 21,1957 in Oakland, California. The third and youngest son of Lee and Walter Somers. Brother to Bruce and Russ Somers. Keith began his primary education in San Lorenzo, California. The family moved to Mercer Island in 1965 and resided there for four years. In 1969, Lee and the boys made their journey to Bellevue where they resided for many years. Keith attended Robinswood Elementary,Tillicum Junior High and Sammamish High School where Keith made many lifelong friendships. Keiths passion for baseball began themoment he took his first breath. He loved to engage in the game and with his team mates both on and off the field. Keith was not only the best team mate but he was your friend as well. His friend's still refer to him as "32", his chosen baseball jersey number. Keith's baseball skills transferred perfectly to softball as school friends began to reconnect in his young adult life. Discovering an equal passion for his beloved masonry trade only increased his abilities to turn pitches into crushed home runs and line drives that seemed to trail dust like Mighty Mouses cape. Keiths two boys, Jake and Jaaron are both are spitting images of the ballplayer their beloved dad was. Keith spent endless hours pitching to sharpen their skills and loved to talk about their ball games at every opportunity. No batting practice or session of catch was too long for Keith. Keith played competitively for 18 years forming friendships with team mates and competitors that are still in place. His bright smile, easy manner, quick handshake and hugs defined him as one of the warmest men we have all had the pleasure to know. Keith met the love of his life, Erin McCauley McMahon in junior high at the Lake Hills Library and became fast friends forever. eventually reconnected after 30 years and began to spend every available moment together. Keith and his family identify this as a wonderful new beginning for Keith where he was once again surrounded by love. Erin is Keiths true soul-mate. Keith left us all on , 13, 2014 peacefully...in love, a master craftsman, a loving father to Jake and Jaaron, a beloved brother to Bruce and Russ, a son of Walter, Lee and Fred, a favorite uncle to Trent, KT, Shelley, Alex and Jenna, best friend of Joe O'Leary and countless others. Obituary: Mrs. Christine P. Somera, a longtime Auburn resident, passed away at Auburn Regional Medical on 11, at the age of 85, with her family by her side after a battle with complications from a recent surgery. Christine was born 18, 1925 in Asingan, Pangasinan, Philippines. a long teaching career in her native Philippines, she met her future husband, Silver Somera, and was married on 27, 1963. She moved to the Auburn area with her husband shortly thereafter, where they raised their 2 children. She worked at various companies throughout the years, including Boeing, Cortec, Heath Tecna, and others. She retired from Hitco (BP Chemicals) after 18 years of employment. She enjoyed her retirement, was active with the Pacific-Algona Senior , the Filipino-American Community of Puget Sound, the Worshipful Maria Clara Lodge 132, and also relaxed by caring for her garden and house plants. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and attending their various school and sporting events. Christine was preceded in death, 11 years ago, by her husband Silver. She is survived by her daughter Chris, her son Andy (wife Andrea), her foster daughter Bonnie (husband Terry), her grandchildren Michelle, Travis, Lucas, Keilani, and Duncan. Also numerous nieces and nephews abroad, and extended family and friends in and around the area. Visitation will be on from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Rosary/Memorial services on at 6:00 p.m.; both will be held at Price-Helton in Auburn. Mass will be on at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Auburn. Burial services will follow at Mountain View in Auburn. |

Obituary: Michael N. Mike Somday passed away afternoon 26, 2017, in Grand Coulee, WA at the age of 83. Mike was born to James & Rose (Gua) Somday, shortly after his identical twin brother - James B. Somday Jr. on 25, 1934 in a small shack about 3 miles downstream from the Grand Coulee Dam in (Koontzville) Elmer City, WA. Mike was a member of the Colville Confederated Tribes, and after graduating high school he enlisted in the US Navy. Part of his 21 years of service was spent in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. Mikes most memorable port of call was certainly Italy, for it was there that he met Miss Maria Maffeo; whom he married on , May 1, 1960 in Pompeii, Italy. On 9, 1974, Senior Chief Michael N. Somday, ETCS, retired from active duty and then returned home to Elmer City, Washington with his family. A lifelong member of the Roman Catholic Church, Mike was active in the Sacred Heart Mission in Nespelem and with St. Henrys Catholic Church in Grand Coulee, WA, helping others through Cursillo and many other ways. his etirement from the US Navy Mike spent another thirty-five years working for the Colville Confederated Tribes as an Administrative Executive, Tribal Council, Bench Judge, and Gaming Commissioner, Mikes consistent focus was for the betterment of his tribal community. Mike enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family, was an avid beader - crafting beautiful religious and native cultural medallions from the tiniest of beads as gifts for others. Mikes greatest love though was always time spent with his family, whom he adored and constantly poured his love and wisdom on. Preceded in death by his parents: James & Rose (Gua) Somday, three brothers, and two sisters. Mikes proud legacy lives on through his beloved wife of 57 years, Maria M. Somday; his twin brother, Jim Somday Jr. (wife Francisca); his children: Joe Somday, Mary Louie, Rose Ellis and Michelle Somday (husband Mike); grandchildren: Rachel Abbink (husband Brian), Michael Somday, Jennifer Golla (husband Seth), Thomas Somday, Nicholas Louie (wife Mary), Robinson Ellis (wife Brittney), Christopher Louie, Taylor Ellis (wife Lexi), Aja Ellis, and Justice Somday; 12 great-grandchildren, and many extended family members.
