Obituary: Sherry A. Sherbahn, age 61, passed away 6th 2014 at Memorial Hospital. She was lovingly surrounded by her family at Yakima Valley when she lost her two year battle to ovarian cancer. Sherry was born to parents Omer & Marie Trudeau on 11, 1952 in Yakima WA. She was the youngest of 6 children. She was a pleasant surprise to her parents & siblings due to the fact that no one knew her mom was pregnant with twins. She was born half hour after her brother Jerry. Sherry grew up in Yakima and graduated from Davis High School in 1971. She was a stay at home mom who raised 3 amazing daughters. She later went to work for Strand Apples & then started her own business which she did until her passing. Sherry took an active role in her 4 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren lives. She always ended a phone call with I love you, making sure you knew exactly how she felt. Her big brown eyes will be missed how funny she always was with a care free spirit, laughed till she cried. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, which was evident when you walked into her house. There was Christmas everywhere- she had every Christmas porcelain house imaginable. Sherry loved to fish, camp & going boating with her late husband Lyle. When she was not fishing or camping she was collecting everything Elvis. She had an impressive collection from over the years. She had recently rediscovered her love of the beach. She would go to the beach every summer when her girls were little. Some of her best memories were sitting in the back yard at the fire pit, just laughing while surrounded by family & friends. Sherry is survived by her daughters Candi (Nicholas) Martinez, Brandi (Ron) Rogers & Teri Gonzales. Grandkids: Alyx, Jalen, Mikey & Mariya. Great-grandkids: Issac, Ariel & Emma. She is also survived by sisters: Delores (Wayne) Hartman of Yakima, Joyce Flynn of Enumclaw, & her twin brother Jerry (Jaci) Trudeau of Yakima. Her boyfriend David Panique. Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews & close lifelong friends. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents Omer & Marie Trudeau, late husband Lyle Sherbahn, and her brothers Omer Jr & Ronald Trudeau. The family would like to thank the University of Washington, Dr. Tamimi, Dr. Silva, Memorial Hospital ICU & the staff at North Star. A celebration of Sherry's life will be held on Jan 25th at Keith & Keith at 2 p.m. with a reception immediately following at the home of Jerry & Jaci Trudeau. Obituary: Lyle Dennis Sherbahn (Papa) Our precious Papa ended his short battle with cancer on Feb. 15, 2010. Lyle passed peacefully at home surrounded by his girls, grandkids and his special girl Poochie as well as his beloved dog Sam. Lyle was born on Nov. 8, 1945 in Yakima to Gordon and Fama Sherbahn. Lyle was a lifelong resident of Yakima graduating from Eisenhower High School in 1965. Shortly after graduating Lyle enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Fort Benning, GA. His military career took him as far away as Paris, France. He received the National Defense Service Medal and was recognized as an expert with the M-14 rifle. I n 1986 Lyle met Sherry Hill through his close friend Wayne Hartman. began their courtship shortly after and on 15,1987 they were married in Yakima, WA. spent the next 23 years together raising their three girls. He enjoyed family bbq's, camping trips every summer, fishing, hunting and boating. Lyle's favorite hobbies included wood working, gardening, watching his wrestling with his grandson Jalen and attending his youth basketball games. Lyle's greatest joy was his grandkids and great grandson. Lyle is survived by his loving wife Sherry, daughters Candi (Nicholas) Martinez of Yakima, Brandi (Ron) Rogers of Selah, Teri (Michael) Gonzales of Pasco and an extended daughter Poochie. Grandkids: Alyx, Jalen, Mikey, Mariya and great grandson Isaac. He is also survived by his brothers Eidwell of Yakima, Wayne (Shirley) of Arizona and Rod (Helen) of Milton, WA. As well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews and close family friends. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Fama, his sister-in-law Sue, and his uncle Lloyd all of Yakima. The family would like to thank all of our friends and family as well as the doctors and nurses at North Star Lodge, Memorial Hospital and Memorial Hospital Hospice for all of your help and support. A celebration of Lyle's life will be held on Feb. 26th in Terrace Heights at Keith and Keith Terrace Heights Chapel at 4 p.m. with a reception immediately following.
