Obituary: JOAN ANN JOANN SAYERS 4, 1945 ~ 13, 2016 At the age of 65, Joan Ann Joann Sayers was diagnosed with Alzheimers and passed away at age 70 in Vancouver, Washington. She was born in Portland, Oregon on 4, 1945 to Arthur Regine Worthington and Adeline Florence (Dennis-Colgan) Worthington. She spent most of her childhood in Portland, Oregon and was a graduate of Centennial High School in 1964. At age 21, while living with her sister in Akron, Ohio, Joann met her husband Larry Allen Sayers and was married on 19, 1967. the birth of their first daughter in 1968 (Cheryl Ann), they moved to southern California. In 1971, they had twin daughters, (Shonda Sue and Shelly Lee). In 1977, they moved to Vancouver, Washington and a year later Joann became a single parent. Joann was a self-taught artist specializing in people and wildlife. She loved drawing for enjoyment but occasionally produced art for select clients that viewed her work. Joann attended church faithfully during her adult life. Her final church family of 11 years was LifePoint Church in Vancouver, Washington where she supported various ministries and enjoyed the womens prayer group and worship. Joann is survived by her three daughters, Cheryl Sayers, Shonda (husband Steve) Feather, and Shelly (husband Rod) Healea; her five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother-in-law, David Snodgrass; niece, Rachel (husband Joe) Cornell and children, Dominic and Sadie. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; sister, Judy Snodgrass; brother, John Worthington; and husband, Larry Sayers.
